10 of the Most Iconic Kisses

This passionate kiss between Noah and Ally will forever be recognized as one of the most iconic kisses in film history. The rain flooding down in drowning torrents, that sensual embrace....this kiss was also unique because it was the climax of the characters' relationship.

Sailing blindly toward lust and destruction, Jack and Rose share a gentle and memorable kiss at the bow of "The Titanic." This kiss oozes subtle passion and true love, making the tragic ending all the more heart-wrenching.

I think we can agree that every kiss from The Princess Bride can be deemed notable and iconic. However, the most famous kiss is displayed between Wesley and Buttercup while on horseback, having just foiled the destructive agenda of Prince Humperdinck. After a lifetime of working on her farm, sailing across the ocean under the alias "The Dread Pirate Roberts," and surviving "The Machine" after being on the brink of death, Wesley finally gets his girl.

Perhaps the most underrated, yet iconic, kisses of film history is shared by Gatsby and Daisy. Estranged from true love by financial circumstance, reconnected by the undying dream of bettering oneself to be worthy of another. In this scene, Gatsby finally wins back the woman he loves after years of reminiscing and true sorrow.

Would this really be a complete top 10 list without including the quirky, relatable kiss from "My Girl?" This is one of the sweetest and most innocent kisses of Hollywood and causes us to recall the awkward beauty of our first kiss.

I don't know about you, but I truly believe one of the most meaningful kisses of all time was between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. They're unlikely, yet foreshadowed, romance is the fantasy of many women, young and old. After trial and tribulation, they finally share a beautiful kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Darcy.

I think we all knew this one was coming. And to be honest, you're going to get an iconic kiss with almost any version of Romeo and Juliet you choose to watch. This version, with Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio, is perhaps one of the most tragically beautiful you could find.

Although you'll rarely find this listed as an iconic kiss, this sensual exchange between Peter Pan and Wendy is one of my all-time favorites. It really captures innocence and young love and the self-sacrificial attitude that Wendy exhibits in wanting to die beside the man she loved than live at all.

What? Despite the fact that this kiss is shared by a pair of animated dogs, it's still relationship goals. You'll definitely be hard-pressed to find something more iconic than this oblivious, spaghetti-slurping moment.

Is there any kiss more sensual and invigorating than the one shared by Paul and Holly? I mean, come on people! This rainy lip-lock definitely tops the charts as one of the most iconic kisses of cinema history.

I decided not to number these from 1-10 and, instead, let you decide which you find the most memorable or iconic. Maybe you love the passionate embrace of Noah and Ally or the innocent kiss shared by Pan and Wendy. Tell me what you think. Thanks!
