Must-Listen Podcasts To Match Your Vibe
No matter what your taste or style, there is a podcast out there for you.
March 2017 has been coined as "Trypod Month," where podcast fans are encouraged to introduce their favorite podcasts, and just the idea of podcasts in general, to friends and family. Earlier in the month I recommended some of my fave true crime podcasts and since I got such a great response, I thought I'd close out the month with some more recommendations. There really is a podcast out there for everyone, so get listening!
For the Millennial Woman
Ladies Who Lunch
Ladies Who Lunch, hosted by Youtube stars Ingrid Nilsen and Cat Valdes, is perfect for any twenty-something year old woman who likes a good chat with girlfriends about real issues. Nilsen's and Valdes' fun and laid back personalities make sensitive topics like sex, mental health, feminism and relationships relatable and easy to swallow for the everyday, modern woman.
For the Artsy Hipster
99% Invisible
If you love art, design and innovation, this is the podcast for you. 99% Invisible, hosted by Roman Mars, takes everyday things and makes them fascinating. Who would've thought that flags, barb wire and Wonder Bread had such rich and interesting origins and histories? This podcast offers episodes on all those things and much more.
For the Potterhead
Mugglecast
There are a lot of Harry Potter podcasts out there, but MuggleCast is a classic being the very first Potter podcast, launching back in 2005. Though the Potter series has ended, the MuggleCast gang continue to release episodes regularly discussing the Potter theme parks, additional content released by J.K. Rowling and more.
For the Thinker
S-Town
S-Town is an intriguing and gripping seven-part podcast about small-town life and humanity. Can't say too much about this one without spoiling, but the true story, accounted by Brian Reed, is fascinating and leaves you at the edge of your seat and asking many questions.
About the Creator
Kat Walcott
Writer of all things but especially K-pop and other sectors of pop culture.
