It's quite early in the year and yet #Netflix has already delivered to us another great addition to its already massive catalog of movies and television series. Released earlier this year, Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events has caught the eyes of many Netflix viewers.

Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events' Is a Dreary Tale You Just Might Enjoy

The unassuming series seems a bit dreary and is quite dreary at times, but there's still something that has already drawn in a good-sized audience. That's not to say A Series Of Unfortunate Events is well known in all social circles, but it's making the rounds.

It's still too early to determine if the new Netflix series is worth investing in, and whether or not a large enough audience is going to find Lemony Snicket's #ASeriesOfUnfortunateEvents worth watching, but there's a good amount of reviews finding the series to be enjoyable which means many casual Netflix users are bound to come across the new series eventually.

As more people begin paying attention to all the factors that makes the series intriguing and worth watching, the reality is, the initial concept behind Series Of Unfortunate Events is quite unappealing.

The Narrator Of The Story, Lemony Snicket Gives Us A Warm Welcome, Sorta

From the get-go, narrator Lemony Snicket (played by Patrick Warburton) notifies the audience of the dreary tale about to unfold. The entire first season is one loathsome tale after another and it's difficult not to watch, yet it keeps viewers like myself and many others captivated.

Despite spelling out a tragic tale for three young children, there's something quite entertaining about their journey in A Series Of Unfortunate Events. It's not that the children's pain is enjoyable to watch, but the dramatic irony in their suffering is foreshadowing why. When that reason is given to audiences, the children's unfortunate journey will at least be given some meaning.

For now, Season 1 of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Of Events concluded on somewhat of a cliffhanger, including a mysterious cameo from the narrator in the story, Lemony Snicket.

At the start of the season, #LemonySnicket gives small hints at being involved in the story, but he never directly addresses his part in it. However, the final scenes of Season 1 gave us a glimpse at Lemony Snicket's role in the story involving the Baudelaires as Count Olaf came front and center.

What Does The Picture Of Lemony Snicket Alongside Count Olaf Mean For The Story?

It's still unclear how Lemony Snicket fits into the story since he's only referred to his involvement in the story with sly remarks, but seeing him in a picture taken with Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) places him at the center of the story when Season 2 picks up.

So far, Lemony Snicket has only been the narrator of the story, but the following season will probably give him more of an existing presence in the world, whereas his counterpart from the book series was only briefly involved and left out until the last portion of the story.

When we take into consideration that clear image of Lemony Snicket alongside Count Olaf in a picture from the past, this proves his existence in the world, but raises another question: How involved will Lemony Snicket get?

Will Lemony Snicket Become an Existing Character In Season 2?

Season 2 of Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events is currently in the works and will probably introduce more of Lemony Snicket. If that happens, we'll likely learn of Snicket's involvement and how his part in the story affects the Baudelaires. In the books, he's left out until the end, but seeing as how he's practically being thrust into the story in Season 1, he'll probably have more of a purpose than simply narrating when Season 2 debuts.
