Next week's episode of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., "Let Me Stand Next To Your Fire," is expected to feature several confrontations, two of which could lead to new alliances being forged. That information can be deduced from the episode synopsis, released earlier this week:

"As Ghost Rider’s quest for vengeance brings him into an explosive confrontation with S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson and Mack must rely on an unlikely ally in their time of desperate need; and Daisy reunites with a familiar face to stop the Watchdogs."

In the synopsis, we can see that Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes is going to confront S.H.I.E.L.D. — and from the looks of the promo for next week's episode, it'll be Mack and Coulson who reign Robbie Reyes in.

Beyond the impending confrontation between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ghost Rider, the episode synopsis also indicates that Daisy will reunite with a familiar face to stop the Watchdogs. And from the looks of the newest clip to be released, Daisy's fight with the Watchdogs didn't go over so well:

Within the sneak peek, it's apparent that Daisy has gone to some far lengths to gain a discreet audience with Agent Gemma Simmons, and for good reason too. When Agent Simmons stumbles across Daisy in the sneak peek, it's obvious that Daisy had no other option than to turn to S.H.I.E.L.D. for help — indicated by the massive injury to her arm and bloody head wound. Daisy's arm looks to be hurt from the excessive use of her Inhuman powers; whenever Daisy uses her Inhuman abilities, it causes a negative effect on her anatomy.

That being said, the cause of Daisy's injuries could be due to the confrontation she'll have with the Watchdogs during Episode 4. The synopsis backs up the notion of Daisy not winning her fight with the Watchdogs, then being forced to turn to S.H.I.E.L.D., namely Agent Simmons for help.

The sneak peek cuts short of showing what Agent Simmons is going to do with Daisy now that she's faced with an ethical dilemma; does she help Daisy or turn her in to S.H.I.E.L.D.? Or could Agent Simmons figure out a way to have Daisy reinstated to S.H.I.E.L.D.? Agent Simmons does have some pull with S.H.I.E.L.D. director Jeffrey Mace so she could plausibly work something out to have Daisy reinstated.

Although the director's actions are unpredictable, he could choose to pardon Daisy or he could decide to place her in a stasis chamber, an option which Daisy wouldn't oblige to. Either way, this is the first step for Daisy to return to S.H.I.E.L.D.

Now that Daisy's asking for help, she might be willing to collaborate with Agent Coulson and the rest of her old team in the future — even if it's in a limited capacity, on a non-consistent basis. More importantly, Daisy has a better chance at surviving Season 4 if she accepts the help of her former S.H.I.E.L.D. comrades.

From the looks of the injuries to Daisy's arm, the Watchdogs are equipped with tech capable of exterminating Inhumans, so Daisy's going to need all the help she can get, including assistance from her old S.H.I.E.L.D. team. And with the potential for more frequent collaborations between Daisy and S.H.I.E.L.D. taking place after Episode 4, she'll eventually return to S.H.I.E.L.D. as a full agent — unless she's permanently branded a fugitive.

Next week's episode is definitely going to be of some great interest. There'll be a reunion between Daisy and her old pal James, otherwise known as the Inhuman Hellfire, as well as Agent Coulson and Mack turning to Eli Morrow for help with the Ghost Rider problem. And the Watchdogs are going to attack Daisy at some point in the episode. With all those events expected to take place, "Let Me Stand Next To Your Fire" looks to be action-packed. Who knows what else will happen?
