In On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft, Stephen King wrote, "Books are a uniquely portable magic." And books have cast their spells on many hearts and minds. I, myself, am such a victim, and I could not be happier. Both reading and writing books transports me to places far away, introducing me to different experiences that I could never hope to live myself.Chances are, if you aren't a book lover yourself, you know a book lover, and you may be at a loss as to what to buy them—aside from more books, of course, and buying another person a book that you hope they will enjoy can be a daunting task. Or maybe you are a book lover and you want to show the world!

Here is where this list comes in, the myriad of ways to show one's love of books.

Shirts

There are so many places to find shirts about books! Here are some of my favorites:

Out of Print: Started in 2010, Out of Print Clothing sells shirts with book covers. Find your or your loved one's favorite title and display it for the world to see. If you or they work in a library, like me, there is a special library love section, too! I have several Out of Print shirts, and they rarely fail to elicit compliments from fellow book lovers when I wear them.

Storiarts: Storiarts was started in 2011 as a way for the book-loving founder to make inexpensive holiday gifts. The shirt designs are limited, but they are lovely! If your book lover likes classic literature, be sure to check out Storiarts.

Litographs: Litographs was founded in 2012 with the mission of promoting literacy. If you are looking for a shirt that is going to make a statement, try a shirt that has the entire book printed on it! Yes, the entire book. The words are used to create pictures of scenes from the story or another related image. It's impressive.

TeeTurtle: These shirts are largely not title specific (though there are some cute Disney and Harry Potter themed shirts), but are an absolutely adorable way to show ones love of books. I have a few of these, too, and people often compliment them or ask where they came from because they are so darn cute! Some people even recognize them because TeeTurtle has a distinctive style.

RedBubble: RedBubble basically has any kind of shirt you could ever want, so it's no surprise that there are book shirts. This link will help you find them more easily.

Zazzle: Zazzle is another online store that sells pretty much everything. So again, this link will help you cull the book-themed ones.

Scarves

Scarves are both fashionable and keep you warm. Perfect for cooler weather.

Out of Print: Not only book Ts, but book scarves! Not book titles, but still book-related. An especially good for present and future library workers.

Storiarts: Only a page from the book this time, not the entire novel like Litographs. Mostly classic lit, poems, and plays. Classy! You can also get matching gloves and headbands to keep warm.

Litographs: Or if you prefer the text to cover the entire scarf, Litographs makes scarves, too! The selection of titles is large, and you can upload your own text, making this an extra personalized gift.

RedBubble: There are some gorgeous book scarves on RedBubble! More for fashion than to keep warm, which is fun, too.

Pins

I wear a lanyard at work, and we are welcome to decorate them with appropriate pins and buttons. I don't have any of these yet, but some of my coworkers do.

Out of Print: You may have guessed by now that Out of Print has all kinds of book items, so you will probably want to give their site a solid look-through! These pins are of varied themes and, again, great for library folk.

TeeTurtle: Not just Ts as the name implies, there are some super adorable enamel pins.

Etsy: Etsy has pretty much everything, including almost 1,500 fantastic pins.

Pillows

Don't just decorate your person, decorate your home! Pillows help make a reading nook cozy and stylish.

Litographs: Just like the Litographs T-shirts, these pillows feature pictures made out of words. They are colorful, but not gaudy.

Storiarts: Storiarts pillows feature a book page, like their scarves, titles, covers, and quotes. If you already have the pillow, just get the pillow cover. (Pillow sold separately.)

Etsy: It's Etsy, so it has the most variety of pillow styles, some in the shapes of books. Talk about snuggling up to your favorite book.

These are, by no means, the only book-themed gifts out there (just peruse the other items on these sites), but I hope they give you some ideas and make you feel more confident going into the gift-giving season.
