Lets just start with saying I was not a podcast person. I got so bored and would space out just listening to people's voices. I felt like I needed music, but as of late I have given them another chance. They now relax me. I become attached to the people and I'm just downright interested in what they are talking about. I can learn things, see what's coming up or catch up on the news. Plus there are so many options! I have been listening to one episode of a bunch of these podcasts to see if they catch my interest. So here are a few that I have become quite attached to if you are interested in jumping into podcasts or need a few recommendations.

First, and my personal favorite, is My Dad Wrote A Porno. This is actually the podcast that started it all. My friend wrote #PornoDay and when I asked him about it he told me about this podcast. I was definitely curious and decided to check it out. Anyways, this man named Jamie Morton has a dad that has retired and at the time, Fifty Shades of Grey was big, and apparently he thought he could do that. He gave Jamie the first book to read and the rest is history. He gets together with his friends Alice Levine and James Cooper each week and they read a chapter and tease it mercillessly. Put your headphones in and prepare to be giggling with strange looks from everyone. It's my must listen! I've caught up on all three books and now have to wait like the rest of the humans.

Now if you are a gamer like me, you'll want to check out What's Good Games. With life being so hectic as of late I haven't been able to keep up with everything, game-related or otherwise, until now. I've found with this podcast its a lot easier to stay in the know. They are well informed and entertaining! It's run by an amazing woman by the name of Andrea Rene joined by her gal pals and they discuss everything nerdy and game-like. I love how they play everything and review! They also just seem like they have so much fun, which helps me stay attached to what they are talking about even when I don't care for the game they are discussing at that particular moment. Definitely check them out.

And last but not least is Rad Parenting. As a mom of two, I love hearing other parents discuss and teach me new things that I can bring into my home. It's run by Anea Bogue and Joe Sib. The label goes: she's an expert and he's not. Both of them make great points about whatever topic they pick for the week and I always feel like a better parent after I listen to them. They are very positive and uplifting and I feel like that means a lot to me because who wants to be put down when talking about raising our little chickens?

So there you go. I feel like this is a good place to start if you want to jump into podcasts or a few recommendations if you haven't found these ones yet. Plus if you have any you think I should check out please let me know! I am all for trying new ones. I got my headphones handy for any part of my day when I need to not socialize or just need to drown out the kiddos (you know how it is, right?) No? just me then... Aright!
