It looks like all (or at least most) of the characters from the original children's television series Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers are going to make an appearance in the reboot of Power Rangers. The announcement of Bill Hader as the robot Alpha-5 opens the door for more "MMPR" alumni to show up as well.

Bill Hader will provide the voice of Alpha-5, which means the physical representation will probably be some type of CGI android or robot. As of now, the Power Rangers reboot appears to be closely mirroring the children's television series, with casting announcements for Rita Repulsa, Zordon and now Alpha-5 hinting at all of the original characters from "MMPR" receiving onscreen depictions by new actors/actresses.

Plus, the recently released teaser images of the Rangers on their Zords also show that "MMPR" will have a crucial influence on the Power Rangers reboot.

Since multiple elements from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers are making it into the new film, we can make some safe predictions as to which other characters from "MMPR" will garner an on-screen portrayal as well. Here are the top five picks for which original characters will also make an appearance in the new movie.

Ernie

The lovable owner of the Angel Grove Juice Bar was one of the staples of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Being the father-figure type who everyone turned to for advice, there'll likely be a place for Ernie in the reboot, in the scenario of more "MMPR" characters being added to the cast of the new film.
