Of course, if you are a fan you might be biased on the latest season. But I'm here to tell anyone willing to read, that I am not a star-crazed fan. In fact, I only got into this season because my husband is a fan. Of course, I have to watch it as it's in my nature as a woman who attended college to study film and media at ASU. At first, I wasn't too drawn into Stranger Things it was just a tad off-putting for me. This season, however, got me. I read the creators of the show pushed backed their production for its CGI work, and I must say, I was not disappointed.

Stranger Things season 3 had it all. From a balance of fear and tension to the light-hearted comedy and awkwardness. But it didn't stop there. They even touched on a social topic, such as having a key charter represent the LGBTQ community, and it was all very subtle. Now before I move on if you have yet to finish the season, you may want to read on with care as I will do my best to avoid spoilers, but I cannot be censored.

As I was saying, this particular character was played out in a very tasteful way and I was very pleased and impressed. This particular charter not only had the main role throughout the season, but they also played as a key in order to bring down this alien from another world. But not once was this character defined for their sexual orientation in anyway, and it's only revealed for a moment that they are in fact gay. Which is why the dynamic duo fit so well together. This person's friend wasn't in a state for a serious relationship, but thought that it was time just because they got along so well.

But Stranger Things did it. They managed to show and explain how a relationship between opposite sexes can be friends, and it can be left at just that.

Now beyond these characters' reputations, I was also very taken by the overall season, and how these kids had always remained as kids. Every time a challenge arises and there was more to face it seemed like everyone, but mainly the children were just trying to do their best. It made the show very relatable, yet each of these characters seemed to be heroic. It was shown since the start of Stranger Things that everyone had a part to play, and it could only be achieved by doing it together. Although we saw this throughout the show, it wasn't until, in my opinion, this season played on this concept. It'll take us all, and just at the brink of things seeming to fall apart, they still came together.

We get it, great show with a wonderful concept and several pieces that, to us movie or storytellers, we know are ingredients in making a great story. But pulling this off is a whole different ball game on its own. Season 3 did not hold back. I have felt that we have come to a point in our society where we just simply do not kill off or harm characters we grow on or they come back to us in some kind of way, so we know there is peace and they are safe.

Anything, but the case for season 3. Not only did they manage to have a multi-character plot line play out well, but it was clear and understandable. I could follow several characters stories, and grow to relate to them, where with other multi-character stories I find myself relating to, or only sharing some. I wanted to know everyones' story on this show and follow along with each as equally as the next. I still have questions on what's going to happen next; lots of particular questions. But at this moment I will refrain, since as I've said, I want to avoid spoilers as best I can.
