Radio broadcaster and fantastic Children in Need presenter, Sir Terry Wogan, has passed away at the age of 77, after battling cancer.
In a statement his family said:
"Sir Terry Wogan died today after a short but brave battle with cancer."
Sir Terry had an amazing 50 year radio and TV career with Radio 2 and the BBC. This includes 'Wake Up To Wogan' and the 'Wogan Chat Show'
BBC Radio 2 controller, Bob Shennan said:
"As the host of Wake up to Wogan, Terry established himself as one of the greatest and most popular radio hosts this country has ever heard"
