Sophie Burner: 'Game Of Thrones' Star Makes Her Feelings On Donald Trump Quite Clear

It looks like Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner is channeling the personality of her on-screen character and embracing a dark new her. After taking a bit of a break from Twitter, Turner was back with a vengeance to tell us exactly what she thinks of the current POTUS and his First Lady. Like when someone asks you to come up with a more iconic family than the Kardashians and you have to stop your eyes rolling out of your head, the fiery 20-year-old pulled no punches when it came to answering what is possibly the "Most Ridiculous Tweet of the Year."

User @81 (how original) tweeted a picture of Donald and Melania #Trump, followed by the challenge to name a better couple. Clearly looking to rattle up the Twitterverse and get some hilarious responses, Twitter responded in kind:

Answers ranged from the Obamas to Harry and Marv from Home Alone, and even stepping on LEGO. However, it was Turner, a.k.a. Sansa Stark on #HBO's hit show, who had possibly the best answer to the conundrum, tweeting a fork and a plug socket:

Personally, I can also think of much better couples than Donald and Melania: cheese and ham, Batman and Robin — dare I say it — Kim and Kanye? But bravo Sophie, bravo.

Not Much Support In Westeros

Not content with just burning Trump once like a GoT funeral pyre, Turner continued to inform the world of her thoughts on the USA's 45th leader:

Turner joins a long list of Trump opposers, which include her fellow cast members Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage, as well as #GameOfThrones author George R.R. Martin. Headey took to Twitter to slam Trump when someone asked, "What's it called when one gets impeached before one actually takes office?" while Dinklage said it was "Great to be here" at an anti-Trump rally.

However, the author of the Song of Ice and Fire books wins the award for Trump burns in his blog post titled "President Pussygrabber." The well-worded rant saw Martin express his dismay, saying that he thought better of the voting population. In a typically Martin way, he rounded off his blog with a quote from his book series:

“Winter is coming. I told you so.”

Perhaps he should spend less time ranting on the internet and more time finishing his sixth book in the Ice and Fire saga?

In a world of snot-faced kings, skull-crushing strongmen, and heartless zombies, these are pretty big words coming from the cast and creator of Game of Thrones. Ultimately Turner's comments divided Twitter, with everything from support for her views to her being branded a "little girl" coming her way. Either way, I doubt Sophie is too bothered, she will probably return to Winterfell to plan her next move against the White House. Mic drop, Turner ouuuuuuuut!
