Avengers Infinity War

So, today I saw Avengers: Infinity War, and I can say that it was a truly magnificent and breathtaking experience meant for everyone from fans of Marvel to people who aren't quite so obsessed with the Marvel franchise, and for almost every age. Here is my spoiler free review (although it is best to have seen the other Marvel movies already).

First things first: yes, the hype was worth it, and this movie will surely not disappoint you. It is filled with all of your favorite Marvel heroes (and yes, by all, I mean ALL of the heroes in the Marvel universe that we have seen so far are included in this massive film). The movie takes place in many different areas, from other planets in different solar systems to right here on Earth in the home of the Black Panther, Wakanda, and even our favorite city, New York.

Avengers: Infinity War is the final cherry on top of the decade of movies that Marvel has created. It ties into every Marvels movie's characters, and subsequently, we will see the massive effects of Infinity War ripple across all of Marvel's franchises. Be warned, however, that it is optimal that you see every Marvel movie to understand the plot, and storyline of Avengers: Infinity War, as this movie ties into all of the other films. Avengers: Infinity War also starts off almost at directly where we left off in other Marvel movies. Thor is straight out of the cosmos, Peter Parker is still in high school and being the friendly neighborhood Spiderman, we see the Guardians of the Galaxy where we left them in Volume 2, Doctor Strange was still protecting the sanctum, and finally, Tony is talking about his engagement to Pepper, as we see at the end of the Spiderman: Homecoming.

Also, parents may need to know that Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most intense Marvel films that has been debuted so far. It has plenty of humor and lighter moments, but it ultimately goes to a much darker territory then previous entries in the universe have gone to. This film, as you have probably expected, includes lots of violence, from impaling and visible blood to torture. There is also a lot of cursing within the film, so it may not be suitable for younger children.

Although, don't be too worried about this, as this movie has many heartwarming moments, although they may be few and far in-between. As expected from any Marvel movies, there are still plenty of laughs from all of your favorite superheroes. All in all, this perhaps balances out the fun and the sad moments of the movie. (But you will probably cry; most people if not everyone in my theater was crying by the end, for reasons I will not discuss, but be ready. I have heard similar stories from friends who have seen it as well.)

The plot includes Thanos—you probably know who he is—attempting to track down all of the infinity stones, and subsequently wipe out all life in the universe. Now, I won't tell you if he succeeds or not, you will have to watch the movie for yourself to find out. Naturally, the Avengers and the other teams within the Marvel universe try to stop Thanos and his children (henchmen) from acquiring the stones and from destroying all life in the cosmos. Avengers: Infinity War includes everything you could wish for (or possibly not want.) With romance, excitement, action, tear-jerking moments, and genuinely awesome team-ups, this is indeed the movie of the year.
