I am officially not okay...

I have been waiting for this day for months. Ever since the end of The Last Jedi, I couldn't wait to see how this trilogy would wrap up. Would Kylo Ren be redeemed? Would Luke Skywalker come back? What's gonna happen?!

Well, today, at the Star Wars Celebration, a teaser trailer for the trilogy capper was released. This film will be titled Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and I felt like crying when watching this trailer, so let's break down everything we saw.

However, we must begin with the title.

The Rise of Skywalker. What does this mean? Well, the title of this film appears to imply that one of the Skywalkers will be returning from the dead. So who will it be?

Some may believe that it is Luke Skywalker who is rising from the dead after his death in The Last Jedi. However, I don't believe this will be the case, as it would completely undermine the ending of The Last Jedi and ruin an emotional send-off for Luke.

Mark Hamill has confirmed that he will be returning to his role as Luke in this film, but given that he can return as a Force ghost, there isn't really any reason for him to HAVE to be alive in this movie. And if Luke is rising in the movie right after the one where he died, it's not gonna have a lot of impact.

Now, I believe that the Skywalker who we may see rise in this movie is Anakin.

How perfect would that be? For all we know, The Rise of Skywalker could mean the return of Anakin Skywalker from the dead. I don't know who would be portraying Anakin and whether he'd be portrayed as the younger Anakin from the prequels or the older version from Return of the Jedi.

It has not yet been confirmed whether Hayden Christensen will reprise his role, but Richard E. Grant has an undisclosed role in the film. Could he be portraying Anakin in the film? We'll see, but now, let's get to the trailer.

The trailer!

We see Rey standing in the middle of a desert planet. This planet could either be Tatooine or Jakku.

In the background, we hear Luke's voice say, "We've passed on all we know. The thousand generations live in you now. But this is your fight." This shows that Rey will likely be the new hero of the galaxy; she will be the symbol of hope who is the only one who can take the First Order down.

As a TIE Interceptor heads directly toward her, she ignites her lightsaber. You'll notice the lightsaber is blue, meaning that she has either repaired the Skywalker lightsaber, which was broken in two in The Last Jedi, or she made her own lightsaber, like what Luke did in Return of the Jedi.

Here, we see a shot of the person driving the Interceptor. We can assume that this is Kylo Ren. Their relationship in The Last Jedi was explored and they were able to learn more about each other.

In this film, Kylo appears to be trying to enact his plan to destroy Rey and every remnant of the Resistance, giving the First Order full control of the galaxy.

OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! FUCK YEAH! THE ONLY THING TO INTERPRET HERE IS HOW FUCKING BADASS THIS IS!!!

We get a shot of a cloudy, mountainous planet. It doesn't appear to be Ahch-to or Canto Bight, so I assume this is a new planet that we have not yet seen in the Star Wars galaxy.

Here, we get our first good shot of Kylo Ren. He is unmasked and in a forest with a red sky. This must be yet another new planet that we are seeing in this film.

Kylo Ren takes down a Resistance fighter in this shot, and a Stormtrooper fires a gun behind him, so this must be another battle that we are witnessing. I believe this will be the final battle, near the end of the film.

We see what I believe is Kylo Ren resurrecting his helmet after he brutally smashed it in The Last Jedi. Why is he doing this? Well, he smashed his helmet after his confrontation with Snoke, tired of being Snoke's puppet.

And now that he killed Snoke, he is now the Supreme Leader of the First Order, and is resurrecting his helmet. He may not want to be a Darth Vader knock-off anymore, but he still feels the need to hide his face behind a mask that works as a dark symbol to those throughout the galaxy.

In this shot, we see a shot of Finn and Poe on a planet. This looks like the same planet Rey was on in the opening scene, and it looks like there's a good chance that this is Tatooine.

This shot has BB-8 next to a new droid character named D-O. I don't know whether it would be more fun to see BB-8 become immediate best friends with D-O or become rivals with it, but the possibilities are endless.

I think a Tusken Raider may be in the far-right side of this shot, meaning BB-8 and D-O could have been kidnapped the same way C-3PO and R2-D2 were in A New Hope.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

It's Lando Calrissian and Chewie flying the Millennium Falcon together! They're flying the Falcon together! This is the first time Billy Dee Williams is playing Lando on-screen since Return of the Jedi in 1983, and I cannot fucking wait for this. Lando is back, baby!

Here, we get a quick shot of C-3PO, Finn, and Poe in the middle of an action sequence on a flying ship of some kind. This looks pretty interesting, and I assume they have been ambushed by Stormtroopers in this shot.

And here, we have a shot of Rey hugging Leia. Now, I do not know what will happen to the character of General Leia in this film, as Carrie Fisher tragically passed away a while back, so I assume that she will have a very minor role or will be written off as dead in the opening crawl.

This shot of Leia and Rey hugging may be unused footage of the hug they exchanged at the end of The Force Awakens, placed onto a different background.

Now, I'll be honest, I had no idea what they were looking at until I Googled it, but apparently, this is a portion of the Death Star. It's unknown whether this is part of the one from A New Hope or Return of the Jedi, but why is part of a damaged space station important?

Well, it is possible that Rey must enter the remnants of the Death Star in order to find information or something that could help defeat Palpatine or the First Order. In fact, she may be trying to find this object that we see in the trailer.

We hear Luke say, "We'll always be with you. No one's ever really gone," right before we hear a sinister laugh — the laugh of Emperor Palpatine.

HOLY SHIT, THIS IS AMAZING. It has been confirmed that Ian McDiarmid will be reprising his role as Emperor Palpatine. Despite his apparent death in Return of the Jedi, he will be returning, and as Luke said, he was never really gone.

Now that Snoke is out of the picture, we can now expect Palpatine to return and take over as the main villain. And with the speculated return of Anakin, they may have their final duel in this film.

I think The Rise of Skywalker might end up on my top 10 of the year, if it pays off. And now, I have to duck for cover before all the theories come up about Rey being Luke's daughter or this film ending with the Emperor successfully luring Rey to the dark side or whatever.

Thanks for reading, and may the Force be with you all.
