Straight Outta Norway (Part 2): 5 Cosplayers That Are Killin' The Game
Cosplay has been going global for a while now and fantastic cosplayers have been cropping up all over the world.
Cosplay has been going global for a while now and fantastic cosplayers have been cropping up all over the world. Norway is no exception, apparently. I didn't know a lot about the cosplay community in Norway and while they're relatively small, they pack a helluva punch. With that in mind, here are five cosplayers you really should definitely check out.
5. The Fuzzy Teddy Inn
Teddy Finborud a.k.a. The Fuzzy Teddy Inn makes a pretty convincing Hawke. Not only that, his armor is beautifully on point. He came highly recommend via my fellow parishioner at the church of Cassandra Pentaghast, RebbKatt (who you should totally check out as well).
4. Chrix Design
Not only does Chrix Design show off her awesome work, she also posts work in progress pictures and tutorials both on her Facebook and Blogspot. The cool thing about her is that she focuses on cosplaying with a budget (which is a great resource for people just starting out). She also keeps it green with materials that are both economic and eco-friendly. Major props for that.
3. Bettcanard Design
Bitten by the cosplay bug the moment her feet touched the convention floor, Bettcanard Design has been plugging away ever since. She even managed to knock out a few costumes while backpacking in Australia for a year. I'm not saying that's indicative of a heavy cosplay addiction but, hey, do what you gotta do, right?
2. Starbit Cosplay
I've talked about Starbit Cosplay before and she's gotten even better since then. Her recent Rey cosplay from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens had me heart eyes all over the place. She does a lot of her own photography, too!
1. Karin Olava Effects
Karin Olava Effects not only does fantastic costumes but she brings it all together with some amazing makeup work as well. From turning into an actual Asari to her Mad Max cosplay, I'm pretty convinced there's nothing this cosplayer can't do.
So there you have it. Big thank you to RebbKatt for recommending some of these guys and turning me on to some amazing cosplayers. Make sure to pop over to their Facebook pages and show them some love!
