The Repair Shop - The home of happy tears
On March 27th 2017 an unassuming new series began, showing beloved items belonging to members of the public being repaired. It featured a diverse “cast” of restoration experts who had mostly never been seen on TV before, all experts in their field. (Jay Blades being the exception, having previously fronted “Money For Nothing” for the BBC.) That show was “The Repair Shop”, the BBC’s sleeper surprise hit which has in its just over five years on air to date, become amongst the BBC’s most popular factual based shows that isn’t the news.

Majique MiMiPublished 2 years ago in GeeksDesignated Survivor: New, but not improved Jack Bauer
In the early 2000s, the introduction of Jack Bauer in 24 as the agent who could do-it-all changed the game for action-dramas on television. The thrill of watching every minute unfold as it happened in real-time gave the viewers a rush and in many years since, there hasn’t been a show that has been able to match the urgency that 24 captured in every single episode. Of course, there has been talk for a few spin-offs but we all know that revisiting an old classic is never a good idea.

After season one of Noughts and Crosses concluded on a cliffhanger that felt more like a definitive ending, I was surprised that the BBC had renewed the show for a second season - especially when they had wrapped up so many storylines previously.
The Young and the Restless dishonored Rey in several ways
The Young and the Restless plays favorites The Young and the Restless writers stunned fans by killing off Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) just when it looked like he might begin a relationship with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). This was just a setup for what was coming and some viewers felt like they were deceived. Truthfully Rey was actually long gone months before the fatal accident.

I Would have a Silly Death in the Zombie Apocalypse
*Spoiler at the end* A few months ago, I started rewatching The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead used to be one of my favorite shows, and I used to binge-watch it with no problem. I loved analyzing the politics and getting involved with the drama. Also, ZOMBIES! Now, this show has a different meaning to me as we move through the pandemic.

On Friday, April 29, 2022, fans of the Arrowverse were hit with the stunning shocker that The CW cancelled Batwoman after just three seasons on the network. In fact, they also canceled Legends of Tomorrow as well, with the axe coming after seven seasons. I was left stunned by the news, especially since I myself really enjoyed the third season to the point where I even wrote about it on this site. I still remember how excited I was when I learned about Batwoman's Arrowverse debut, which came during the "Elseworlds" crossover in 2018.
