Thanks for the spies, Netflix

Two of my absolute favorite shows which I would have never fallen in love with had it not been for Netflix.

To me, Netflix is the best thing since the can opener was invented. I love to binge watch shows and discover new ones. And thanks to Netflix, I found Arrow and The Flash for which I'll forever be grateful. But there are two more of my absolute favorite shows which I would have never fallen in love with had it not been for Netflix. If you haven't seen either of these, consider adding them to your queue! You won't be disappointed.

1. CHUCK

Chuck kept popping up every time I logged into Netlix. Maybe it was because I was a huge fan of Alias, and this is another spy show. Finally, in 2014, I gave it a shot, and I fell in love.

Chuck, the goofy guy who works as a tech support for a big box store, finds himself a hot commodity when he opens an email from a friend and uploads government secrets into his brain. The next thing he knows, he's got the CIA and NSA handlers and becomes a proficient, if not awkward, spy.

You cannot watch this show without laughing, but there's also love, dedication, loyalty, and the gamut of human emotions. With his trusty sidekick, Morgan, Chuck falls in love, makes a friend out of an unlikely ally, and discovers life isn't as bad as he thought it was.

Fans are now impatiently awaiting a potential movie!

2. NIKITA

This is another show that kept showing up as I looked for new shows to watch. I'd tried the original, but I wasn't a fan. I am, however, a fan of Shane West. So I decided to give it a try. And I was hooked within the first two episodes.

Nikita is a government-trained assassin on the run from those she thought she could trust. Michael (Shane West) is the man who trained her, stood up for her, and fell in love with her. And he's tasked to bring her back...dead or alive. Trouble is, he still loves her.

This four season series is filled with action, action, action. Nikita (Maggie Q) rarely loses a fight, and though her techniques are brutal at times, she gets the answers she needs. Along the way, she befriends a young girl, Alex, who infiltrates the government agency that betrayed her.

I didn't want this series to end, but, alas, the viewership wasn't there. Thankfully, all four seasons are available on Netflix for new viewers to discover the powerhouse that is Nikita.

If you like spies, you can't go wrong with Chuck and Nikita!
