1. 'Batman Returns'

Artists: Tracer67 and BurtonGotham

I love the aesthetic. Gotham looks so...Gothic! Michelle Pfeiffer does a wonderful job as Catwoman. She creeps me out ... but then again ... isn't she supposed to?

Danny DeVito is THE person to play the Penguin. He is perfect for the role, and not just because oh his acting. Then again, I have loved Danny DeVito in everything he has been in. Also, Chris Walken as Max Shreck? Yes please!

The Penguin: [while being bombarded by food] Why is there always someone who brings eggs and tomatoes to a speech?

2. 'Batman 89''

Artist: TheGuid299

This one is certainly a fan favourite, and with good reason!

Jack Nicholson gave such an amazing performance as the joker that some said no one will ever be able to do better ... but then things changed. Michael Keaton does well in pretty much anything, so he's good here, as expected.

Nic: Don't kill me! Don't kill me, man! Don't kill me! Don't kill me, man!Batman: I'm not going to kill you. I want you to do me a favor. I want you to tell all your friends about me.Nic: What are you?Batman: I'm Batman.

3. 'The Dark Knight'

Fan Art By Aaron Wong

Probably the best-made of the movies. It's still on the top 10 on IMDB. Not to mention, Morgan Freeman was in it. Bonus! So much went into this movie by so many different people ... it's hard to nit pick at certain things. Except maybe it did drag on a little at the end ..

Heath Ledger surprised me so much and took the status of "un-beatably amazing joker." His jaw dropping performance made him the first comic-book movie actor to win an Oscar. He deserved it! Still to this day, he has the unofficial fan status of the best joker.

Batman: [in the interrogation room] Then why do you want to kill me?The Joker: [giggling] I don't, I don't want to kill you! What would I do without you? Go back to ripping off mob dealers? No, no, NO! No. You... you... complete me.

4. 'Batman Begins'

Fan art by Randomization and HayKazKhroyan

Batman Begins is fantastic! I love the scarecrow and the special effects. Although, if I had to complain about one thing, it would be that the scare wasn't used enough. I just really wanted to see more screen time of him.

What I did really like about Batman Begins is that it really made me think. It's refreshing to watch a movie every now and again that doesn't insult your intelligence and lets you think on your own about each character's personal philosophy.

Henri Ducard: Criminals thrive on the indulgence of society's understanding.

5. 'Batman & Robin'

Artist: Kim Herbst

This one is underrated. The costumes and set design are phenomenal. It looks vibrant. The colours pop! It's like a neon theme park. It's also one of few Batman movies that really embraces female characters. It's full of puns and goofy props. I mean the bat suit has nipples and asscheeks. I can see why that might bother some people, but I just found the whole movie to be fun.

They did a celebrity drop in that actually worked well (aka Arnold Schwarzenegger). He's not well-written, but he does well with what he's given. The dude wore an 80-pound suit and gives no indication it's a burden at all (It IS Arnold, of course).

Poison Ivy: Men, the most absurd of God's creatures. We give you life... and we can take it away just as easily.

6. 'Batman Vs. Superman'

Artists: Iqnatius Budi and Florian NICOLLE

Affleck is great. Physically, and acting-wise, he is amazing! Which is why it sad that the movie is 95 percent just boredom. It gets going during the actual title fight; however, there's so much that slogs it down.

I've had arguments with people on whether or not Jesse Eisenberg was a good choice in casting. I feel like my end decision is that he did some amazingly creepy acting ... which is probably what the director wanted ... but it just didn't feel like Lex Luthor.

As a friend of mine said:

"He's twitchy, he's twerpy, his portrayal is like if young Woody Allen was doing his impression of Ledger's Joker."

7. 'Batman 66'' (Adam West)

Artist: KenimationArt

You have to love a classic! More importantly, sometimes serious movies are so bad that they just become comedies. Then they become really good comedies!

I mean, how can you take something seriously when they have moments like this:

King Tut: [to Nefertiti] "How many times must I tell you?! Queens consume nectar and ambrosia, not hot dogs!"

and this:

Robin: To the batcave?Batman: And up the batpoles.Robin: The batpoles?Batman: Even crimefighters need their sleep, Robin.

I do feel the overwhelming need to say this ... those drawn on eyebrows, tho!!!

8. 'Batman Forever'

Artist: Cleo57

This one reminded me a lot of reading a comic book. I had some trouble with it being more bright and goofy than the traditional goth. Then again, it did have Jim Carrey in it.

Carrey was great at being Edward Nigma. As The Riddler, well ... I'm really not entirely sure what was going on there. Did the director tell him to act like this .. or did he go rogue?

Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face) was okay, but he seemed to actually be competing with The Riddler to outdo him on energy, which I really wish he just didn't ..

Dr. Chase Meridian: By the way, do you have a first name, or do I just call you Bats?

9. 'Justice League'

Artist: MarioGagabriel

So it turns out that Batman is turning into the typical modern group of superheroes fight CGI bad guy ... with even more CGI through in the mix. While this might not be what everyone is use to for Batman movies ... the truth is that this is an OK change. It's passable. I enjoy Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. In fact Jason Momoa as Aquaman was an AMAZING idea. Not only did we miss him on screen since Game of Thrones, but did you see those abs!?

Affleck is great, so it's a shame that producers and directors seem to keep messing things up. If things continue like this, then they are gonna drive him out of the role ... and no one would blame him.

[seeing Superman alive again]The Flash: Pet Cemetery!

10. 'Suicide Squad'

Artist: Boss Logic

So ... this one didn't exactly do so well on Rotten Tomatoes. However, there were still some great things about this film. It finally introduced the main stream world to Harley Quinn. Meanwhile, it still kept some little snippets of the old Quinn for the more hardcore fans. At one point, she found her mallet. At another point, there was a brief scene of her dancing in her traditional red and black outfit.

Deadshot: [to Griggs] One day, somehow, some way, I'm gonna get outta here. And I'm gonna rain down on you like the Holy Ghost.

Let's Talk 'Suicide Squad'

Artist: Chriselly

I know it's a disappointment that it doesn't have those Batman & Robin-type enjoyable moments, but maybe this is just the next stage of Batman. After all, producers and actors still have to make money. With that said, this one went a little too far. The movie was filled with pop songs (which rarely, if ever, fit the scene), bright, Hot Topic-esque design, and one-liners, and then... there's Leto's Joker.

Look, I like Leto. He's been in great movies, and he's done great performances before. Here, he's just trying so hard to be dark and edgy ... that it shows. To be fair, there were lots of scenes and footage cut out ... so we don't know the full potential of 'his' joker. Plus, it must be hard to try and play Joker after Ledger's amazing performance. So maybe the pressure got to him?

The problem with Leto's joker is that I didn't actually get the sense of insanity from him. Instead I got a 'rebellious teenage Joker' vibe, complete with face tattoos and all ... but he's, what, 10-12 years older than Ledger was when he played him?
