The 8 Most Anticipated Movies of 2018

Life, uh, finds a way.

Wow. You know, I usually don't watch a lot of movies. Maybe only one or two a year, but this year, I'm gonna have to break out and watch a lot more than that, because there are just way too many good movies coming out this year.

So, these are the eight movies that I'm most excited for, in order of release date.

'Death Wish'

This film is a remake of the 1974 film, Death Wish. It is about a man named Paul Kersey, whose wife is killed and daughter is raped, and as a result of this, he becomes a vigilante, and hunts down the criminals one by one.

Charles Bronson starred in the original Death Wish and the subsequent horrible sequels. I think this movie can revitalize the film, and if anyone can be Paul Kersey, it's either Bruce Willis or Arnold Schwarzenegger. And they went with Willis.

'Ready Player One'

I mean, who WOULDN'T be excited about this movie? In the trailers, we've seen the DeLorean time machine, the Iron Giant, Harley Quinn, King Kong, and there are just a hell of a lot of pop culture references.

I mean, for me personally, the DeLorean time machine is what sold me over. #BTTFNerd

'Solo: A Star Wars Story'

I mean, I'd never say no to a Star Wars movie, and I really want to see some of Han Solo's backstory, but this dude doesn't look like young Han Solo. They could have gotten someone who actually looks like the character, like Ansel Elgort, but they got him.

But I'm still watching it. Hopefully, the casting won't affect me that much.

'The Incredibles 2'

OH, HELL YES.

There has not been a time where I was more excited for a Pixar movie. Not even with Finding Dory. I have to see this movie, and I'm sure that a ridiculous amount of people do, too.

And Elastigirl seems to be taking over the spotlight. Girl power. AWESOME.

Don't want to be too offensive, but PLEASE leave the little kids at home. This is for the die-hards that have WAITED for this movie to come out. Your toddler's just gonna forget this movie in a month and throw a tantrum when the villain shows up. We need to watch this in peace.

'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'

So, Jurassic Park was good, its two sequels were disappointing, and then they reboot it with Jurassic World, which I personally thought was better than the original.

And now, this is the sequel. Jeff Goldblum is back, and though this doesn't really seem like it's bringing anything new to the table, it looks very worth watching.

'Skyscraper'

I'm gonna watch this movie not because of Dwayne Johnson. He's in pretty much every movie nowadays. I'm watching this movie because of how similar it is to Die Hard.

You know, guy gets stuck in building, terrorists come and threaten his family? This is worth watching. And I'll be writing about it soon.

'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald'

Fantastic Beasts was okay. But it can be so much better. This movie needs to do what every sequel needs to do: build on the last. And if Dumbledore's gonna be it, I hope they're successful.

And for everyone complaining about how Dumbledore being gay won't be a big part of the story, my response is his sexual orientation just doesn't matter. It really doesn't. I wouldn't care if it was in there, but this movie needs a good STORY. Dumbledore being gay just doesn't add to the story at all.

'Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2'

When I first heard about this, I had no interest. I mean, the first one didn't really impress me, so I didn't really think about going to watch this. But I was looking on Wikipedia, and I found this paragraph.

I mean, if it has all the Disney Princesses, and most of them are the original voice actors, and there's also C-3PO, R2-D2, and Yoda, I am sold.

So, there. Those are the eight movies I'm most excited to see this year.
