Can you hear that sound? The "Belles" are ringing again in Storybrooke. As ABC's Once Upon A Time prepares for its soft reboot and a whole new fairytale for Season 7, it sounds like it won't wholly be a case of out with the old and in with the new. Despite the beanstalk-sized casting cull of Season 6, it looks like #EmiliedeRavin's break from #OnceUponaTime could be much shorter than we expected.

Ravin-ous For More

Joining back in Season 1 as the show's own version of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, De Ravin has been a major part of Once Upon a Time ever since. Fans of the fairytale frolic were shocked to learn that the Lost actress was among a whole host of big name departures amidst the show's new direction. Other departees included Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas as Snow White and Prince Charming, Rebecca Mader as the Wicked Witch of the West, and #JenniferMorrison as Emma Swan.

According to Entertainment Weekly, De Ravin's return to this "little town" is to provide an update on where Belle has been, but little else is known. Season 6 ended with Belle and the others all getting their cliched fairytale endings, but a cryptic flashforward and the arrival of Alison Fernandez as a young Lucy Mills teased that all is not well in the future of Once Upon a Time. Although we are definitely penning a new chapter for Season 7, it seems only right that the show ease us into a new era rather than completely jumping the shark.

Morrison has already confirmed she will be back for a single episode, as has Jared Gilmore as a young Henry Mills. However, given that Andrew J. West has signed on as the adult Henry, it will be interesting to see how that one plays out. Interestingly, the return of so many cast members that were given the boot could point to the rest returning as well. Given that Mader was less than impressed with Zelena's axing, could she also see her heart's desire come true?

With the decision to differ so boldly from what we know already proving divisive, the return of some familiar faces will likely help pull off the band-aid for the old guard of OUaT. As for De Ravin's return, we have to assume that it will tie into Robert Carlye's ongoing storyline. For the first six seasons, Carlyle played the nefarious Rumpelstiltskin. With the 56-year-old Scotsman still being a major part of the cast going into Season 7, could De Ravin's return finally put down the quill for the story of Belle and Rumple? Although it may only be brief, at least our Disney "beauty" is back for one more spin round the ballroom.
