'The Big Bang Theory' Opening Credits Feature a Spelling Error That Has Gone Unnoticed

From the quirky characters to the mind-bending experiments, The Big Bang Theory is loved across the world. The comedy sitcom, which began back in 2007, has ran for a decade now, and the producers of the show have no intention of stopping at Season 10. CBS officially renewed the long-running sitcom for another two seasons, taking us into 2019.

One of the most memorable things about #TheBigBangTheory is the opening credits. The song, sang by Barenaked Ladies, was created and recorded specifically for the show itself. During the opening credits, viewers are shown a total of 109 individual photographs that illustrate the history of the universe. Most of the photos are actually stock photos that have either been flipped or rotated. Along with the visual montage, a timeline is shown at the bottom of the screen. Did you know there is actually a spelling error in these opening titles?

You Need An Eye Of An Eagle To Spot It

While the timeline at the bottom of the screen zooms by, a small spelling error has gone unnoticed over the last 10 years — until now. During the section of 90,000BC, one of the years reads: 91,0009C. See the mistake? It should actually read: 91,000BC.

This isn't the only mistake The Big Bang Theory has made. Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons, should technically be dead. During Season 3 in the episode "The Vengeance Formulation," Sheldon participates in a call interview with his local radio. Little does he know that his enemy and colleague, Kripke, has played a deadly prank on him.

Kripke decides to get his own back on Sheldon by pumping a huge amount of helium into Sheldon's office. The helium obviously changes Sheldon's voice over time, giving it a high-pitched tone.However, Sheldon would have technically dropped dead within a matter of minutes due to the lack of oxygen in his office.

Putting all errors to the side, The Big Bang Theory will remain a huge hit on CBS for many years to come. With that in mind, Sheldon and the gang return this fall with Season 11, alongside the new prequel show Young Sheldon.
