The hit CBS show 'The Big Bang Theory' will be returning to our screens this Autumn with a confirmed air date. The popular comedy sitcom will be premiere on CBS on Monday 19th September at 8/7c. 'The Big Bang Theory' episodes one to five will be shown every Monday. But due to 'Thursday Night Football', returning in the Autumn too, Big Bang will be moving to Thursdays on CBS as of October 27th onwards.

Season Nine left on a cliffhanger (again). So when the show returns in September, fans of the show will finally have the weight taken off their shoulders and find out whether Leonard's father and Sheldon's mother did actually hook up or if they went to separate rooms. Fans have been dividing into two and debating whether they will hookup or not.

“I know they were getting along quite well, and left to go to the same hotel for a nightcap, and turned off their phones. The details of exactly what happened, if we even ever find out all the details, will be left for the season premiere of Season 10.” - Steven Molaro

Season 10 of the show will also continue the ongoing storyline which centres around Bernadette and Howard. Yes, of course it's the baby storyline. Fans expected the Season Nine finale to consist of Bernadette giving birth to either a son or daughter. But the showrunner has decided to take the storyline more slowly and actually show it realistically. Without doubt, we'll see the birth in Season 10.

Steven Molaro has been busy talking to Entertainment Weekly and has explained that there is no surprise wedding planned for Amy and Sheldon in the coming future. But he did go onto saying it isn't out of the question and Sheldon's engagement ring he has for Amy will be making another reappearance.

Season 10 for the show was confirmed a while ago. But it is currently unknown if the show will continue for Season 11 in 2017/18. With the cast's contracts running out, they are all keen to return until the show actually goes on for. But all we have to do now is sit patiently and tick down the days until one of TV's top shows returns.
