As we get closer to the Season 3 finale of #TheFlash, things only appear to be getting worse for Team Flash. The team has been suffering at the hands of Savitar ever since he came into existence. The latest setback came in the form of another loss, #WallyWest.

On the latest episode of The Flash, Wally West was tricked into throwing the remaining piece of the Philosopher's Stone into the Speed Force. In doing so, Wally released Savitar from his prison and wound up being taken in Savitar's stead. The episode concluded with all of Team Flash reeling from the loss, especially Joe and Iris. However, we should take solace in the fact that Wally West will be returning very soon. This fact became clear because of one specific scene in Episode 15 "Wrath Of Savitar."

Towards the beginning of the episode, Barry's recollection of his vision into the future also sees him accompanied by Wally. It's interesting that Wally would be by Barry's side in his vision of Savitar killing Iris since Wally just got sucked into the Speed Force. So, Wally being seen alongside Team Flash in Barry's vision of the future probably means Barry will find a way to get Wally out, and that may just take place in Episode 16 "Into The Speed Force." Check out the promo below:

The promo for "Into The Speed Force" reveals that Barry Allen will venture into the Speed Force to rescue Wally West, but doesn't give any hint as to how. If you recall, Savitar informed Barry that his former prison inside the Speed Force requires someone fill it.

So, with the possibility of Barry rescuing Wally seeming all the more likely to happen, someone is going to need take Wally's place. Or, Barry may convene with the Speed Force like he's done in the past and bargain for Wally's life, but there's almost assuredly going to be a cost.

Whether that's his speedster abilities or Wally's, one of them will likely step out of the Speed Force without their abilities, ending their superhero careers for the time being.

Personally, I think Barry will convene with the Speed Force and persuade it into releasing Wally in exchange for Wally leaving his speedster power behind. We'll have to wait to find out.
