'The Flash/Supergirl' Musical Could Be The Beginning Of More Songs

(WARNING: This post contains spoilers for The Flash Season 3!)

The first Flash/Supergirl crossover musical is set to air on March 21st, and the lineup of talent includes characters from #TheFlash, #Supergirl, #LegendsofTomorrow, and #Arrow. It will also be the first reunion for #Glee actors, Grant Gustin, Melissa Benoist and Darren Criss since their time together on the singing series.

Crossovers in the #Arrowverse have proven to be ratings successes in the past, most recently with "Invasion!" that brought together all four Berlanti shows — Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. All of the #superhero shows hit or tied season highs when the Dominators paid a visit to the multiverse back in November, which was a boost for The CW.

Though the ratings weren't sustained throughout the rest of the season, the crossovers are proof that fans like it when the shows come together. But will they like the musical episode enough to tune in? If so, Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg has hopes for a sequel.

Darren Criss has already expressed his willingness to return to the role of #DC villain Music Meister. As he and Gustin were at odds on Glee, he's happy that the tables are turned, and he gets to be the one in charge for a while. Picking up the mantle again wouldn't be a hardship, as he told Entertainment Weekly.

"I want to come back, I’m not done — then I’ll have my true payback!"

With the additional musical talents of Victor Garber, Jeremy Jordan, John Barrowman, Carlos Valdes and Jesse L. Martin, The Flash/Supergirl crossover will be a dream come true to viewers who've been craving this type of episode since the singers were cast in their respective roles.

However, to the viewers that prefer the action and drama to singing and dancing, next Tuesday's episode may be a must miss. And if enough viewers decide to skip it, this might be the one and only time we'll see this much vocal talent in the DC Universe.
