If you've watched the Power Rangers movie, you may know that there's been something that's been desperately missing for quite some time. In the first time through the movie, you may be scratching your head at something that is seemingly missing from it. That very thing in the recent live-action film titled Saban's Power Rangers. In the movie fans may have taken note of something weird that had happened in the movie and that just happens to be the fact that the Power Weapons that the Rangers use? Were missing from the movie.

While the Power Rangers themselves were capable of piloting their Zords, but their weapons were not becoming a part of the movie. We didn't see Kimberly's bow, Zack's Power Axe, Billy's lance, or even Trinny's daggers through the course of the movie. However, we did get a solid glimpse at Jason's Power Sword for just a few moments within the film.

So The Power Rangers Do Have Weapons?

According to the director, Dean Israelite, that the weapons were actually once part of the movie before it became a part of the budget. During the original production, the weapons actually have been to their sides before the costs of the CGI effects that would come into play.

While it sounds stupid and cheap as an excuse; the reality is that these CGI weapons aren't cheap. While they are part prop, it still takes time, money, and staff to re-create the weapons into their realistic CGI selves. While Jason's sword was in the movie, it was still a cross between prop and CGI, but even at times, completely CGI.

The Director's Had to Cut the Weapons Due to Cost.

Since all five weapons aren't uniform, it would come down to cost in order for all of the weapons to exist within the movie. Because all of the weapons were unique by design, Israelite had to cut costs, and to do that big of a project; it was time to step aside and go with the route of the Zords.

However, the bright side is, Isrealite has stated that the second movie could be the place for them to introduce those weapons, and give the fans hope to see what they want to. This means five fully unique weapons and even more depth than before when it comes to the Power Rangers. While the first movie was questionable in its push to become unique.

It was a movie about character development, it will surely give us a lot to look forward to in the future movie, and even give us a huge story to expect when it comes to Rita Repulsa. Lets just hope we get a glimpse at the Green Ranger in the upcoming movie once it's confirmed to be in development.
