Although many of #AdamSandler's recent films have consistently been critical failures, the people love what they love and in this case, they are loving them some Sandler on Netflix.

The actor originally inked a deal back in October 2014 with Netflix to produce and star in four original films that would stream exclusively on the service. The first two films released under that deal - The Ridiculous 6 and The Do-Over - are the biggest film releases ever for the service and it now seems they are hungry for more.

Prepare For More Sandler

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, the company has inked a brand new four-film deal with Sandler to create original projects for its streaming service. Similarly to the original deal, Sandler’s #HappyMadison Productions will produce each film which will premiere exclusively on the streaming service, please give us a moment to contain our excitement... If these films are anywhere near as successful as The Ridiculous 6 or The Do-Over, don't be surprised if another announcement is made stating Netflix will dedicate an entire category for those craving a marathon of Sandler's original Netflix films. Who knows? Maybe a Sandler-Netflix Cinematic Universe is imminent! At least we know David Spade will be employed for decades to come.

Sandler has stated in the past how much he loves working and collaborating with the streaming heavyweight and gushes about the company that makes him "feel like family":

"I love how passionate they are about making movies and getting them out there for the whole world to see. They’ve made me feel like family and I can’t thank them enough for their support."

Netflix's chief content officer, Ted Sarandos praised Sandler's comedic brilliance and gave his thoughts on the new deal:

"Adam Sandler is one of the leading comedians in the film world, and his movies have proven to be extremely successful with our subscribers around the world... We are thrilled at the opportunity to extend our partnership with Adam and his entire team at Happy Madison and keep the world laughing.”

The third film under Sandler's original deal, #SandyWexler is set in Los Angeles in the 1990s and stars Jennifer Hudson, Kevin James, Terry Crews, Lamorne Morris, Nick Swardson, Rob Schneider and Jane Seymour. It will launch on the streaming platform on April 14th and you can view the trailer below:

Netflix's Upcoming Releases Sound Amazing

Netflix's initial deal with Sandler was part of the company's ambitious plans to create original films for its service. With the success of his films and Netflix's other original content, the streaming service has proven to be a major contender against the colossal studios.

The company shows no signs of slowing down, with three of its upcoming slate of original content releases boasting A-list talent including the sci-fi romance #TheDiscovery starring Rooney Mara and Jason Segal (releasing March 31st); the #BradPitt drama #WarMachine (releasing May 26th) and Bong Joon-ho's #Okja starring Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Lily Collins and Steven Yeun (releasing June 28th).
