Polish your poison apples and roll out the magic carpet because Once Upon a Time is back. The fairytale saga is preparing to write a new chapter ahead of its Season 7 release after Season 6 wrapped up the past six years of Storybrooke. It seems like we haven't quite got the fairytale ending we were hoping for and ABC will once again open the Storybrooke storybook later this year.

Time After Time

Featuring in a hologram activation at San Diego Comic-Con, ABC revealed that the revamped #OnceUponATime will return to our screens on October 6. Finding its premiere date, the show also moves from its Sunday slot to a new Friday position and takes the action from Maine to Seattle.

We already met the brand new Cinderella during the D23 Expo, but Comic-Con gave us our first official teaser from Season 7 of the show. While the network is yet to make the clip available online, some snap-happy camera hounds have sent it circling the internet.

The trailer gives us a brief glimpse at what to expect next time round, and we see Lana Parrilla back in her full Evil Queen mode. There are also tense shots of Robert Carlyle as Rumpelstiltskin and Colin O'Donoghue as Captain Hook, but it is Parrilla who is rumored to have the central story arc in the show's seventh run. That being said, the action looks to be equally focused on Andrew J. West as newcomer Henry Mills — the grown-up son of Emma Swan. Henry will surely be at odds with his adoptive mother/Evil Queen, but there are promised to be other new faces and stories to tell too.

With six main characters bowing out after Season 6, we know that there have been some major cast departures, however, leading actress #JenniferMorrison is scheduled to appear in at least one episode of Season 7. That being said, Emma Swan is sadly missing from the first-look footage and the drama seems to be centered elsewhere.

Showrunner Adam Horowitz also took to Instagram to remind us of the show's new setting. Above the caption "Petco field here we come," he shared a look at OUaT's Seattle backdrop.

The jury is still out on how Once Upon a Time will fare in this new era, and there are those who already think ABC's fantasy drama has jumped the shark. Whatever your feelings, there are still enough people who are caught "Hook," line, and sinker to warrant another trip to Storybrooke.
