This Dark Knight x Scott Pilgrim Mashup Is Everything We Wanted From 'Suicide Squad'

With its noir undertones, the Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy did sometimes seem like it was a little on the depressing side, but fear not fandom!

There is no denying that Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy veered the franchise away from the campy tones and sour taste that Batman & Robin left in our mouths in 1997. With its noir undertones, the trilogy did sometimes seem like it was a little on the depressing side, but fear not fandom! YouTubers Inventor Headquarters have chucked a whole load of neon at the Nolanverse to mash up the Dark Knight with Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The 2010 film, based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel, takes Michael Cera on a mission to defeat his girlfriend's seven deadly exes. Whilst Bruce Wayne vs. The World just looks like Bruce's deadly enemies trying to kill him, you get the idea of what they are going for.

With a logo that matches the original Scott Pilgrim, Inventor Headquarters do a pretty faithful 'Pilgrimage' of the film. After watching the trailer, here are the most gif-worthy moments from Bruce Wayne vs. The World which prove it deserves its own full-length feature!

1. An Amazing Logo

This blows the BvS logo out of the water; it looks like something from Austin Powers Pt. 3. From now on, all Batman logos should be presented in a gaming typeface.

2. Bruce's Seven Deadly Exes

Who would you rather take on: the cast of Scott Pilgrim, or a merry band cat ladies, scarfaces and humanoid scarecrows? Erm, answer no.1 please!

3. No Clue...Gets It!

He may be the great Bruce Wayne, but even he didn't see that twist coming. Maybe there are too many bats in the belfry.

4. 64 Lamp Combo

Even being involved in a horrific truck crash is more fun in 64-bit glory.

5. Bats Have Nine Lives

Ah, so that is how Bruce survived the end of The Dark Knight Rises - he must have had an extra life saved!

6. Bale vs. Neeson

In full Mortal Kombat style...finish him!

7. Star Wars Meets Batman!

Qui-Gon Jinn lives! Seeing the classic fight scene replaced with lightsabers, we have to ask: why didn't we think of this sooner?!

Whilst Scott Pilgrim vs. The World lurks in cult status realm, could the Dark Knight fare any better? It is an interesting prospect seeing Nolan's typically glum trilogy take on the bright colours of Wright - it is so wrong, but so right. This is what we imagine David Ayer intended Suicide Squad to be like, so just imagine if Edgar Wright had got his hands on Batman v Superman!
