This Mass Effect Cosplay Is Out Of This World!

Say hello to this amazing Garrus cosplay project - looks like ME3 or at least post-Archangel time-period.

I know, that title pun was an obvious reach, even for me - but I think I get a pass this time. Because like the rest of the world (or galaxy), I've had space on the brain for the past couple weeks. I know you know what I mean, come on - fine. Star Wars. I mean Star Wars, do I even have to say it? But while of course we're gonna keep rocking in a galaxy far, far away until the suns goes down, when I see a piece of fan-made awesome, especially from another long-time spacey favorite, I gotta share it, even if it's not what's making the planets go 'round. Good art is good art, regardless of fandom. But when it fits the sci-fi theme, that works out pretty nicely too.

I want YOU for C-Sec! And awkward dancing. Please.

So of course, while you won't find Garrus Vakarian lighting up the silver screen alongside the Jedi and Sith (yet - wouldn't that be an amazing crossover? A nerd-ramble for another day, maybe!) you might enjoy a Mass Effect side-order to your Star Wars main dish.

Say hello to this amazing Garrus cosplay project - looks like ME3 or at least post-Archangel time-period - courtesy of Red Nebula Cosplay. The group's Facebook page has the following description, and it's clear that the work is indeed a labor of love:

The masks, props, and costume work of Sarrah (and sometimes Robbie) Wilkinson. Specializing in creatures and aliens of all kinds, but especially turians!
Red Nebula Studios is a fantasy art studio, which also dabbles in costumery - if you can call an obsession with cosplay mere "dabbling"! Here, you'll find Sarrah Wilkinson's Garrus Vakarian cosplay, as well as many other past (and future!) projects.

What was that I just said about crossovers? Booyah!

The photos showcased in this particular shoot and article are courtesy of Sam Mort Productions, and included a pretty major event - the 2014 Cosplay Party. Here, Red Nebula brought Garrus as their main event, and the results were stellar. You can check out a gallery with a ton more images here, as well as some group shots with a stunning constellation of talented cosplayers!

I've collected just a few of my Garrus-only favorites here for some easy enjoyment. Scroll away, and check out some more alien awesomeness!

And finally - Merry Late Christmas!

That's great, G-Man, but, uh... Santa kind of... needed that. Oh, well.

Lastly, my usual disclaimer - as always, thank you so much for reading, and please keep all commentary respectful. Remember that (despite how it may look this time) the artist is a human like you, who does it all on their own time, for the love of the art and the characters. Rock on, and see you again real soon!
