Over a year ago, one of the sexiest supernatural shows on TV, True Blood, met its untimely true death. Just a little recap, as the ending still bleeds like a fresh wound in the back of my mind, the final episode fittingly called Thank You ended with Bill wanting to meet the true death, nearly convincing Sookie to lose her powers forever (for a chance at normality.)

Other less depressing moments include: Jessica and Hoyt's Wedding, Eric killing off the Yakuza and Sarah Newlin eatin' garbage. (Who'da thunk?). PaRic made a successful new empire of New Blood from Sarah Newlin's blood, and lastly, Sarah Newlin tormented by Steve Newlin's ghost in Fangtasia's basement - which is what she deserves for being a horrible, horrible bitch.

So, it's been a year now.. don't lie, I miss True Blood, and I'm sure you still do too. So, let's start with the Bon Temps gang's new projects and where you'll see 'em, just to fill the void they've left us with!

Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin)

Five years (in the events of True Blood) later, Sookie Stackhouse is heavily pregnant and is probably married to a regular human bloke. However, Anna Paquin and real-life vampire husband Stephen Moyer just celebrated their wedding anniversary on August 21st! The beautiful blue mermaid hair is a sign of Anna moving on from the series after 7 years.

What she's doing now: Aside from frequently using twitter to interact with her fans or school her troll haters (she's awesome and badass too!), Anna reprised her role as Rogue in X-Men Days of Future Past (Rogue Cut),and is set to return to HBO in a new miniseries she's developing with Steve and Jack Black as Madame X. You will also hear Anna's voice in Pixar's upcoming film, The Good Dinosaur!

Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer)

William Compton had a long history of unforgivable actions. So, I understand that when Bill died, some people called it the best and worst thing to happen. Was Bill the main antagonist all along? First, he specifically went to Merlotte's that fateful night to get to know Sookie. Second, he's started to fall for Sookie although that's conflicted his mission with the Queen (which, as you probably guessed, meant bringing Sookie to her so she could use her blood for daywalking). In the third season, he proposes to Sookie, causing her to go to the bathroom crying. When she goes off to save him he acts like a jerk to her. There are a lot of things Bill did that we all didn't particularly like; In the seventh season however, when Bill got infected by Hep-V (Sookie became a carrier due to exposure from a cut on her wrist) due to feeding from Sookie, he didn't drink the antidote and almost got Sookie to sacrifice her identity (with good intentions, though).

What he's doing now: Stephen Moyer is going to be Milius Corbett in FX's forthcoming historical drama fiction, The Bastard Executioner. He's also working with Denis O'Hare in a new movie called Columbia, which Stephen will direct!

The Bastard Executioner will premiere on September 15, 2015 - don't miss it!

Alexander Skarsgård

Eric Northman became an even wealthier businessman after all the events of the past. The Viking survivor has defeated a deadly disease, saved Sookie Stackhouse from being killed by the Yakuza, given Sarah Newlin what she deserved and most importantly, finally granted Ginger her wish.

What he's doing now: Aside from having projects here and there, Alex has a new movie called The Diary of a Teenage Girl where he portrays Monroe, and he'll be donning a loincloth for his role as Tarzan this 2016!

Pamela Swynford de Beaufort (Kristin Bauer van Straten)

Pam, one of my favorite vampires ever, finally got back the life she deserves. With an added bonus for all her troubles, she's in charge of taunting Sarah and having new patrons to feed off her for... let's just say a fortune.

What she's up to now: Aside from doing charity work and saving wildlife, especially the elephants and rhinos in Kenya, Kristin reprised her role as Maleficent in Once Upon a Time.

PS. We had her first, Oncers!

Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten)

In the series finale, Jason finally found a match to settle down with (and note that he's not a womanizer anymore) in the form of Hoyt's ex-girlfriend from Alaska. Seriously, what's with dating your bestfriend's ex? He had three kids and they all went to Thanksgiving at Sookie's last year.

What he's doing now: Ryan Kwanten has had a lot of projects this year, including his recent acting credit in 2014's Northmen: A Viking Saga. He also starred in Kidnapping Freddy Heineken as Jan Boellard, and provided the voice for Blinky Bill. He will also appear in The Effects of Blunt Force Trauma, and Who Gets the Dog as Clay Lonnergan. All three movies are still in post-production.

Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll)

We were first introduced to baby-vamp Jessica when Bill Compton staked Longshadow to defend Sookie. As a punishment, the magister tasked him to create a new progeny for the life he took, and there we meet 17 year-old Jessica Hamby. Although we didn't really fall for her at first bite, we grew to love her character and root for Hoyt and her, even having felt a pang in our hearts when she glamoured Hoyt to forget about her. In the series finale however, she and Hoyt finally reunited and got married before Bill's suicide.. 2 boyfriends later we stopped rooting for Hoyt and Jess, but the spark came back before the final episode and everything went well. Awww!

What she's doing now: After True Blood, she was cast as Karen Page in the Netflix series, Daredevil. This meant dying her hair back to blonde! Fun fact: She's a natural blonde and has been dyeing her hair since freshman year of high school! She's beautiful with both hair colors, but I do miss the red.

Deborah's most recent film credits are in film-fest entry movies such as Meet Me in Montenegro as Wendy, The Automatic Hate as Cassie, and in the indie film Forever as the lead role, Alice.

Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley)

There was nothing that made me want to flip tables more than seeing Tara be killed off in the first episode of the seventh season. Although she did appear in ghostly hallucinations to her momma to make her realize some things and move on, we still hated her death.

What she's doing now: Rutina Wesley will star as Alicia in the upcoming film The Perfect Guy. She was also cast as recurring character Reba McClane in NBC's critically acclaimed series, Hannibal. In Arrow Season 4, she's also going to be Liza Warner. There's life after death, after all!

Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis)

Truebies were pretty pissed when True Blood ended and Lala didn't get enough screen time in the last remaining episodes after his heart-to-heart talk with Jessica! Still, our favorite 'AIDS burger' serving cook got the happy ending he well deserved. After all the shit he's been through these past 7 years, not even our love for Jessica and James' relationship will want Lala to be kept from being happy!

What he's up to now: After True Blood, Ellis starred as Martin Luther King, Jr. in The Butler (2013), Bobby Byrd in Get On Up (2014), and he's still filming a new movie called The Stanford Prison Experiment. This year, he also became a Guest Judge in RuPaul's Drag Race during the episode 'Conjoined Queens'.

Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell)

After the Hep-V vampires kidnapped Nicole, she gave him a choice whether to stay in Bon Temps and live dangerously, or move away; and he went with her. He then left Merlotte's to Arlene and the name changed to Bellefleur's. Four years later, without the threat of maenads, vampire monarchs, supe-hunters, and so on, he and Nicole's family came back to Bon Temps to join the Stackhouses' Thanksgiving party.

What he's up to now: Sam's recent film credits were in The Fault in Our Stars as Hazel's dad, Me, and The Aftermath as Sonny. He has two new movies still in post-production, namely About Ray, and The Track. He is also filming I Am Wrath, and has a lead role in Amazon's Cocked.

Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer)

Bill Compton's last surviving descendant naturally inherited his estate, under the condition that Jessica and Hoyt pay $1 rent each month. He also officiated Jessica and Hoyt's wedding in the final episode, and has grown so much as a person. We know Andy used to be such a jerk, an alcoholic, and later a V-addict too - but he overcame all this to become an admirable character in the end.

What he's up to now: There are not many updates on Chris Bauer's wiki page after True Blood. However, he has a recurring role in Starz's Survivor's Remorse as Jimmy Flaherty, as the owner of the basketball team.

Arlene Fowler-Bellefleur (Carrie Preston)

Although Arlene can be a bigot sometimes, her character grew and developed to become lovable. Our hearts broke when Terry organized his own death, leaving Arlene devastated. She also got kidnapped by the Hep-V vampires and almost succumbed to death throughout the final season. But, she was saved by a vampire named Keith, and that's when her views about vampires officially changed.

What she's up to now: Carrie's most recent film credit is in 2014's 5 Flights Up. In 2013, she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her recurring role as Elsbeth Tascioni in The Good Wife. This year, pictured on the right (from her IG), Carrie is now in NBC's sitcom Crowded in the main role as Martina Gunn; Miranda Cosgrove, one of my favorite sitcom princesses, plays one of her daughters!

Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp)

Back in Season 2, when we were introduced to the Newlins, we already knew they were bad... I already had an inkling that Sarah was and would be a crazy-ass bitch someday, and I was right. She put all of our favorite characters through unnecessary pain, which is why our hearts leaped with joy when Pam berated her and hid her in Fangtasia as the 'World's most expensive whore'.

What she's up to now: Anna Camp reprised her role as Aubrey Posen in Pitch Perfect 2. She's also filming an "Untitled Woody Allen film" for 2016, and will reprise her role as Aubrey for Pitch Perfect 3 in 2017. She also lent her voice to Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy as Princess Ivy and the Pixie Empress in Star vs. the Forces of Evil.

Alcide Hervaux (Joe Manganiello)

Alcide Hervaux, a character we were first introduced to back in Season 3 when Bill was abducted and brought to Mississippi, was a day-guard hired by Eric for Sookie. They also got together in the final season, however he was killed early into the season *werewolf cries*.

What he's up to now: Aside from being engaged to Sofia Vergara, he has starred in the action-thriller Sabotage in 2014 alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has also directed a documentary about male strippers in Dallas called La Bare, and reprised his role as Big Dick Richie in this year's Magic Mike XXL. He starred in Tumbledown, a romantic comedy film that premiered in Tribeca Film festival last April 18. The movie is scheduled to be released on February 12, 2016 by Starz Digital. He will appear in Knight of Cups and Pee-wee's Big Holiday, which will both be released in 2016.

Willa Burrell (Amelia Rose Blaire)

Willa was a new character that we were introduced to back in the sixth season. She's the governor's daughter who was always kept in the dark and treated as a child by Governor Truman Burrell. This all changed when Eric Northman glamoured her, and threatened to kill her if she doesn't give information about the Vampire Camps. In the final season, Willa is adopted by the Reverend and his wife (Tara's mom) but really, for Lettie Mae, she mostly needed Willa's blood to see Tara. She's happy in the end, though.

What she's up to now: Amelia Rose Blaire hasn't moved on from all the blood! She now plays a recurring role in MTV's Scream as Piper Shaw, and will play the role of Amy in 2016's Quantum Break - a live-action series based on an Xbox one game. After each game episode, a player will be presented with a choice that will affect the events in both the game and the show! The TV series will also include Shawn Ashmore, Aidan Gillen and Courtney Hope as the three main characters. Players are encouraged to watch the TV series in order to get the whole story of the game. Personally, I think this is a pretty cool concept!

Hoyt Fortenberry (Jim Parrack)

Although Hoyt was absent in a lot of seasons and only returned in Season 7, our admiration for his character never waned. He's a true gentleman to Jessica and we've been rooting for them ever since they met. In the final season, Hoyt broke up with her long-term girlfriend Brigette (apparently he doesn't want to have kids) and got reacquainted with Jessica again (yay!) and married her too!

What he's up to now: Jim Parrack appeared as Preacher James Goodman in the second season of ABC's Ressurection and appeared in a movie called Wild Horses as Deputy Rogers. Most notably though, he will appear in Suicide Squad as Jonny Frost, a low-level thug who works for the Joker. Suicide Squad is already in post-production and is set to have the initial release in August 2016.

Now you're up-to-date with the cast, don't miss their movies and shows! (It's a way of keeping in-touch)

True Blood was a source of entertainment every Sunday night, and of course we all felt at home with all the characters in the show. Bon Temps is like a second home to us when we sit down in front of the television to wait for "Bad Things" to play. We then savor 60 minutes with wide-eyed wonder and anticipation.

Seven fangtastic, sexy and magnificent seasons. Thank you True Blood (and EVERYONE behind it) for always being an entertaining juggernaut all these years. We still miss you.
