This post contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

On July 6th, Spider-Man: Homecoming will see Tom Holland take on the titular role of Spider-Man for the second time, coming into his own as a superhero. However, Peter Parker is going to have some major hurdles to cross. One of those hurdles being Tony Stark.

Iron Man will be monitoring Peter Parker's activities as Spider-Man during the events of Spider-Man: Homecoming. And to ensure that Parker isn't getting in over his head with superhero duties, Tony Stark placed a safety protocol in Spidey's new suit from Captain America: Civil War.

According to a report from Collider, Stark installed "training wheels" that limit Spider-Man's abilities. The suit holds an interface, similar to J.A.R.V.I.S., that won't be available to Parker until Stark removes the aforementioned training wheels.

The reason why Stark is taking these precautions is because he doesn't want Parker to get into a fight with a supervillain who wouldn't blink at the opportunity to kill a young hero like Spider-Man. So, adding in these safety features will keep Spider-Man limited to fighting small threats like bank robbers and car thieves. Fortunately for us as fans, we'll get to see the training wheels come off!

The initial report also indicated that Tony Stark himself will remove the training wheels protocol at some point during the film, giving Parker access to J.A.R.V.I.S. and anything else Stark packed into the new suit.

We've already seen some of the features teased in the trailer, but there's apparently more hidden. We do know Spidey's suit will carry several types of webbing, including a web that tases his foes, so it'll be interesting to see what other gadgets Tony Stark packed for Parker. Who knows, maybe Spider-Man's suit also has an "Iron Spider" protocol.

Fans have been hoping to see the Iron Spider suit since learning of Tony Stark's connection to Spider-Man in the MCU. Regardless, we'll have to wait and see what Tony Stark's "training wheels" protocol limits — and what happens when those limitations come off.

Spider-Man: Homecoming premiered July 6, 2017.
