Top 10 Actresses Who Should Play Batgirl in the Batman Standalone

Batgirl of the Bat-Family needs an actress that can compliment her complex character and physique.

With Carrie Kelly rumored to be the current Robin in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, I thought I would do a 'Top 10' list on who could play the four previous Robins. This'll be my last list on who could play these particular members of the Bat-family (Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, and Stephanie Brown's Batgirl), and I hope you enjoy my picks!

1. Emma Stone

I know that Emma Stone is a more than common choice for Batgirl, but that's for good reason. She could very well pull off a straight-up action role, and she has the look to pull off Stephanie Brown. While she hasn't had a true action breakout yet, I know that she has potential in the role.

2. Emma Roberts

Yeah, another choice named Emma that you've probably heard brought up when it comes to playing Batgirl, but shouldn't she? Just like Stone, she has the look for Stephanie Brown; she's short and petite, yet not frail, so she has the body type to play Batgirl. She's a truly great actress, while she hasn't popped out as an action star yet, she is still cut out to play a superhero. I would be more than willing to give her a chance.

3. Chloë Grace Moretz

Don't give up on me yet, the original choices start after this one. All you need to do to picture Moretz as Batgirl is watch Kick-Ass 2, it's basically an audition tape. She's at the perfect age, she looks like Stephanie Brown, and she's an amazing action star already.

4. Brie Larson

Brie Larson has a few action-comedies she can put on her resume, but she hasn't tackled a full-on action picture. I do believe she could pull off Batgirl, however. She has a youthful look to her that can easily pull off a younger Stephanie Brown.

5. Billie Piper

Probably the most unconventional choice on the list, Piper at least has the look for the role. She hasn't done many action roles, or anything in American cinema for that matter, but I have faith that she could nail the role. If she can pull off a convincing American accent - I think she would be great as Batgirl.

6. Adrianne Palicki

Palicki is probably the most suited for the role in my opinion. She's had some really great action roles in John Wick, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and G.I. Joe, which all prove how great of a Batgirl she'd be. While she might be a little too old to play the little girl that is Stephanie Brown, she would be a great choice if they decided to go with an older version of the character.

7. Emily Kinney

Even though Kinney is 29-years-old, she can pull off an 18-year-old girl perfectly. She certainly has the look to embody Stephanie Brown, and she wasn't a totally unbelievable action star on The Walking Dead. While she is smaller than some of the others on this list, that could work in her favor. Since Batgirl is supposed to have a petite frame favoring the appearance of a teenage girl.

8. Alice Eve

Another actress that may be a little too old to play Batgirl, but she is suited to play a more mature form of the character. I do believe that since Batman will be older and grizzled, that the entire Bat-family will be at least a little more aged as well. If that were the case, it would be believable to see her as Stephanie. She has been in a few action flicks, and I think she could truly reach her peek of fame if she took up the role.

9. Shailene Woodley

While I'm not on the Shailene Woodley bandwagon with everyone else, I do think she would make a good Batgirl nonetheless. She's gained some big action credibility from her starring role in the Divergent series. She also has the look and age to play a proper Stephanie Brown.

10. Jennifer Lawrence

Come on, isn't she the perfect choice for just about everything? She's one of the best action stars out there, not just in terms of women, either. She's at the right age, has the correct look, and with the X-Men and Hunger Games movies coming to a foreseeable end she should be available to do another continuous role (are the Hunger Games movies really coming to an end? Maybe not!).
