Alright, December is officially here and it's time to get your butt in gear and start your holiday shopping. To (partially) answer the age-old question of "What do women want?", let's start with some well thought out holiday gifts, shall we? It's easy to go the generic route: lotion, wine, earrings - but where is the fun in that? If you know your girl has some dorky depth, this list can point you in the right direction for a successful holiday season.

For the ultimate gamer girl - comfort is key. What better way to celebrate her favorite past time then gifting her with an outfit she can game in all day and alllll night. Plus I don't know anyone who doesn't like pajamas, you can't really go wrong.

T-shirts, t-shirts, and more t-shirts. Every self-proclaimed geeky girl I know is a t-shirt hoarder, myself included. If your ego can get over your lady's love for Loki (swoon), this t-shirt will show her how understanding and accepting you are of her fictional character fetish. Plus she'll look cute. Win-win.

I'm not sure when the pet sidekick for nerdy chicks became cats, but boy am I glad they did. Even if she's more on the leisure side of athleisure wear, she's going to love a pair of cat leggings. Even after they are all covered in cat hair. Goddammit Peaches.

Before you cry that this is a cop-out, hear me out. If you know your book lover is anxiously awaiting a copy of a something specific, by all means purchase that book. But if you're not sure what she's reading these days, you absolutely cannot go wrong with a gift card. One year I received three Barnes & Noble gift cards and it was possibly the best Christmas ever.

Side note: If you have a local bookstore you love - shop small and save those gems!

Think Lego's are for kids? Says who? Have you ever stepped on one of those suckers? That would kill a child instantly. This is great for a girl who loves to use her brain (and hands) to put stuff together. Help her build, add some wine - sounds like date night! Plus, she can put it on display and show off her affinity for the Dark Side.

Earlier I joked about jewelry, but sometimes it's the right move. Being able to subtly (or not so subtly) represent your fandom with some kick ass jewelry is pretty neat. As a Harry Potter lover myself, I would swoon over some Potter themed pieces. This one will remind them how lucky they are to have you in their life, without brewing up some Amortentia.

For the tech-lover, this gift is as cool as it gets and is straight out of the Jetsons. She can use the Echo to play music, ask questions, listen to audiobooks AND control lights, switches, and thermostats, in addition to 1000 other things. And if you happen to live together, you will totally benefit from this gift as well. Just saying.

The best part of being a geek/nerd is that it has many, many meanings. There are book nerds and gaming nerds, so why not TV/Movie nerd. Fund your lady friend's latest Netflix addiction so she can finally watch Black Mirror or rewatch her favorite episodes from The X-Files.

Dum da da da dum da da da dum da da da dum da da da dummmmm Woo-oooooo Wooooooooo Woo-oooo, Woo-ooooo woo-oo-oo oooo

What? Oh, sorry I'm done.

Some of us are bakers, and some of us are eaters. Let her enjoy cookies through time and space with the sound of the TARDIS ringing throughout the kitchen. Or the dining room. Or her bedroom. Let her enjoy those cookies wherever she pleases.

It's NASA people. Do I even have to explain this? The gift of all gifts. Space Camp. SPACE CAMP! Sure, there are a lot of variables with this one, like a flight to Alabama... but just think about it, okay? She'll love it.
