Game of Thrones

Hey, what's up everyone! So I know what you're thinking, nothing will ever be as good as Game of Thrones. And you're probably also thinking, man what on earth am I gonna watch when it ends?? Well, I'm here to give you five shows that you'll wanna see.

1. 'The Witcher' (Netflix)

If you've ever played the Witcher games or even read all the books, I know you're already excited for this series. Plus it's on Netflix! How awesome is this show going to be? Pretty freakin' awesome! So the series stars Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission Impossible) as Geralt of Rivia (AKA The Witcher). The Witcher is a monster slayer. Throughout the games and books, Geralt hunts many creatures with sword and magic.

2. 'The Lord of the Rings' (Amazon)

You're probably tired of Lord of the Rings at this point. You remember how terrible the Hobbit movies were and how they didn't EVEN compare to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I feel your pain, I really do. But this show could be something special. Each season will be about a different character, which excites me! The first season they're starting off with familiarity and featuring a young Aragorn. Many are skeptical about this, but I'm not. Like I said, they have to lure in the audience with what they already know and expand on that.

3. 'The Long Night' (HBO)

If you're as sad as I am about Game of Thrones ending, never fear! The Long Night is a prequel to Game of Thrones! Little is known about the series, but many have speculated that it will be centered around the early history of Westeros featuring the White Walkers and others. One big update I've heard is that Naomi Watts (King Kong, The Ring, Mulholland Drive) is set to star in it!

4. 'The Chronicles of Narnia' (Netflix)

While the books have always been more childish and the movies never really struck their mark, a series on Netflix is just what they need to revamp the stories. No word yet on who the cast will be.

5. 'The Mandalorian' (Disney+)

Now, this isn't the typical fantasy epic of all the others. But The Mandalorian by Disney+ will be pretty epic. Disney is throwing cash at this series and for good reason, they want to compete with all the others on this list. With Jon Favreau (Director of Iron Man) at the helm, you can expect to hear some known names in the cast as well as an extremely high budget per episode!

Honorable Mention: 'The Wheel of Time' (Amazon)

The Wheel of Time is another fantasy epic book series that I shamefully have yet to read! BUT from all the good things I've heard about it, I believe it has what it takes to be pretty epic!
