Anime heroes are the embodiment of good in the world of anime.

Welcome, everyone!!

I am yours truly, Michael, and today, we are counting our top picks for the “Top Ten Anime Heroes.”

For this list, we are we will be focusing on the most influential anime heroes that allowed us to become heroes. They are the reason why we have a purpose and taught us the true meaning of appreciation. I apologize if any of your all-time favorite anime heroes did not make the list. However, I believe many you will appreciate what I chose in this list and I hope you like them.

You can imagine the selection of various anime characters to choose from and the classics.

So, without further ado, let’s jump right in!

10. Sailor Moon 'Sailor Moon'

A true superhero.

One of the first female characters to ever appear on television, this quirky and flashy girl did not disappoint. Sailor Moon is the superhero every girl wants to be and is a perfect role model. Sailor Moon's real name is Usagi Tsukino, a schoolgirl who transforms into Sailor Moon to help save the world. Her mission is to search for a magical artifact, which is the "Legendary Silver Crystal."

Sailor Moon is also a leader of the "Sailor Soldiers" and their main purpose is fighting off villains to prevent them from capturing the "Silver Crystal" and the chaos that is destroying the entire solar system. Even though Usagi can be annoying sometimes, she always puts forth good in others before herself, which is very special.

What makes Sailor Moon unique is defeating enemies with a short skirt.

Who can pull that off?

Sailor Moon is a great role model for girls everywhere and continues to fight for justice.

9. Spike Spiegel 'Cowboy Bebop'

Spike Spiegel, is the type of bounty hunter you would call for help.

This no-nonsense bounty hunter is a crew member of the starship “Bebop” and a former member of the "Red Dragon Crime Syndicate.” Spike's main goal is searching for criminals and traveling on their "Bebop" spaceship as a part of life.

Willing to throw away his criminal background to fall in love with a taken woman named Julia, he embodies what it means to be alive. Spike enjoys a good cigar after a long day and is willing to do what it takes to save people by making sure there are no criminals in sight.

You do not want to miss Spike in action!

8. Kenshin Himura 'Rurouni Kenshin'

You do not want to mess with Kenshin.

He means business.

A former assassin from the Bakumatsu, known as Hitokiri Battosai, becomes Himura Kenshin, who is a swordsman who protects the people of Japan with a vow to never kill again. A killer turned hero, Kenshin became a legendary assassin, known as the “Manslayer.” He used to kill innocent people for a living and decided to protect his people.

However, he did not rely on his old killing ways. While offering swords to those in need all over in Japan, Kenshin meets with multiple new friends and even a few ex-enemies along the way. He was taught how to be worthy of atonement and to conquer his inner demons.

We all got secrets.

7. Inuyasha 'Inuyasha'

A demon that is half-human and half-dog.

Combine that and you get a demon swordsman who is coming for you.

Inuyasha wants nothing more than to become a full demon. His human heart will get in the way of his selfish desires, which leads to him falling for a schoolgirl he vowed to protect. In order to recover missing fragments of a sacred jewel, Inuyasha will have to slice his way through and gather all the missing pieces of the sacred jewel.

He can be rude, heartfelt, and compassionate towards others whenever his human heart instincts come in. Plus, Inuyasha makes us laugh constantly during each comedic scene that will make you fall off your chair (laugh).

Inuyasha is the epitome of unleashing your inner demon while saving a schoolgirl for a living.

6. Roy Mustang 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood'

A skilled "Flame Alchemist."

I would say that Roy Mustang is one of the most beloved characters in the Alchemy series. While focusing on his career and attracting women with his handsome features,  Lieutenant Colonel cares deeply about his subordinates and countryman. As he gained a reputation as a soldier during the "Ishball Civil War" after committing extremely cruel acts by using his flame alchemy, he vowed to become the nation’s next leader.

While Roy may be a bit of a show-off and arrogant, he has a strong loyal sense about him for his fellow alchemists and is not afraid to show off his flame alchemy skills to prove a point.

That is what makes Roy so special and has the makings to become a great leader.

5. Edward Elric 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood'

The boy who lived.

Unlike Roy Mustang, Edward Elric learned the true meaning of sacrifice when him and his brother, Alfonce, tried their best to resurrect their deceased mother. As a result, Edwards lost his limbs and his brother's body was erased.

What a sad scene!

I could imagine what Edward had to go through and lose his loved one. Ever since his brother was erased right in front of him, he has been on a mission to correct his mistake for the sake of his only sibling.

A fully redefined character with strong morals, endless love for his family and friends, Edward proves that even a small boy can be a badass and save the world.

An Alchemist hero.

4. Ichigo Kurosaki 'Bleach'

If you do not believe him, just watch.

A skilled swordsman and high school student known as Ichigo Kurosaki, he obtained the powers of a Soul Reaper and seeks justice. Ichigo's newly found powers allowed him to take on the duties of defending humankind from evil spirits. After a fateful encounter with Ashinigami, Ichigo obtains both the power of God and death.

Ichigo's pain purpose was to defend his home from the terrifying spirits known as “Hollows.” As he endures endless battles and frightening enemies, he will keep fighting until his world is saved.

It is time to kick some spirit butt.

3. Monkey D. Luffy 'One Piece'

A Shonen hero.

Out of all the “Shonen” anime heroes, the most gullible and comedic character ever created made this list.

Known as an ass-kicking straw-hat pirate, Monkey D. Luffy is one of the most lovable and influential anime heroes of all-time. He loves to eat and enjoys beating up bad guys to save his world. Luffy's body was transformed into pieces of rubber after accidentally eating a "Devil Fruit."

With Luffy's crew of pirates named the "Straw Hat Pirates," his main purpose is exploring the land in search of the world's ultimate treasure, known as "One Piece." Furthermore, his ultimate goal is to become the next "Pirate King." For comedic relief, Luffy thinks with his stomach and fists, rather than using common sense.

Does this antic sound familiar to you guys?

Guess who else would act like this.

You guessed right, and it is Goku.

Always in pursuit of adventure, this happy fellow entertained us with his comedic laughs and absolute pure strength. One punch from Luffy will send you to Mars.

Do not mess with Luffy and his crew.

2. Naruto Uzumaki 'Naruto'

A true ninja warrior.

Unlike other great anime heroes, Naruto Uzumaki is one of the most impactful ninja heroes ever created. His true sense of purpose and his love for fighting inspired a lot of children who want to become like him and be a protector of their own village. As an adolescent ninja who continues searching for recognition from his peers and other villages, Naruto had dreams of becoming a leader of his village.

What makes him different from the other ninjas, is having a powerful demon sealed inside him, which can unlock an inner power. Naruto is not an outgoing person and just wants to become a great ninja one day. He also grew up in a Shinobi village. However, being ignored by the other ninjas did not stop him from becoming the village leader. Naruto’s growth as both a ninja and human has been remarkable, to say the least.

This sums up who he is and how he became a great leader in his village.

What a triumphant story!

A ninja leader who embodies a warrior's spirit.

1. Goku 'Dragon Ball'

You know this pick was coming.

As the number #1 pick, Goku made the list as the top anime hero.

The most likable and influential character who ever lived, Goku continues to inspire the next generation of Earth protectors. He is willing to sacrifice for the good of all mankind and will not have any regrets. I love me some Dragon Ball and I know you guys love a good old fashioned Saiyan battle. Goku was born on "Planet Vegeta" and was sent to Earth to destroy the people there.

Instead, being knocked on the head with a rock, he forgot about his mission and trains in martial arts with the guidance of Grandpa Gohan, whom Goku killed as a "Great Ape." He continues to explore in search of the seven "Dragon Balls, which summons a dragon who can grant you any wish when all of them are gathered.

Along the way, Goku meets up several new people and became friends with them over time during his journey. He also battles a wide variety of villains and some of them became his allies throughout the years. While Goku may be a bit childish at times, he cares for all living things and vowed to protect them at all costs. Goku is the epitome of what it means to defend your home and care about the loved ones you are fighting to protect.

Goku is simple, yet brilliant.

That is why he is the number #1 pick!
