Top Ten Disney Villains Based on Success

Yes, there were villains that succeeded.

This is my own list of my own observations of how the Disney villains should be ranked.

10. Jafar

Yes, Jafar is one of the most powerful villains, he used his staff to manipulate and use the sultan to his advantage. However, he could have seriously done more damage than he did and just about when he was going to get everything, Aladdin steps in and saves the day. Aladdin tells the sultan what is going on and it reduces Jafar's power by a significant amount. Then, there’s the part where Aladdin smashes Jafar’s magic staff. However, for a while Jaguar was living the life.

9. Dr. Facilier

Ahh, he was one good villain, he manipulated the prince and Lawerence into changing their lives by giving them their deepest desires and he got what he wanted…until he was eaten by his own spirits and demons…lovely ending. As a con man he made a very good villain.

8. The Evil Queen

Yes, at number eight because she hired a man to do the dirty work for her. She wanted Snow White dead simply because she was beautiful. That is not the best reason for killing someone. Her mirror is probably the creepiest part about her(mostly because of the voice) The Evil Queen had changed into an old hag and tricked Snow White into eating the apple but her plan had an escape route. The Evil queen’s death was brutal, but well deserved.

7.Ursula

Yes, she was vengeful and instead of attacking King Triton right away, she lured his youngest, most gullible daughter into pretty much signing her life away to be with a guy she barely knew. Ursula got Triton’s crown, his trident and the power that comes with it. Then, in the end of the movie she lost, it is a hard scene to forget when she became a large sea beast and Price Eric literally plunges and ship into her stomach. A well-deserved spot at number seven. Ursula even had a bad reputation from the beginning of the plot and Ariel still trusted her.

6. Maleficent

She carried fear everywhere she went. When she arrived at Aurora's birthday party, everyone was already afraid of her. A powerful sorceress with a bad reputation. She had powers, she had a raven that watched every move, and she lived in an abandoned castle. Maleficent also managed to catch prince Phillip and then even though the kingdom had burned every spinning wheel Maleficent still got her way by put Sleeping Beauty down for a nap.

5. The Queen of Hearts

Terrifying, she was abusive to the people that worked for her, she abused hedgehogs in her sporting activities and had a very bad temper. She almost cut off Alice's head and she probably killed some of her own cards/soldiers.

4. Hades

This is probably my favourite villain, mostly because he is the god of the underworld and collects souls for fun. He has a cunning sense of humour and he got Meg wrapped around his finger and she couldn't have escaped if it were not for Hercules saving the day. He created monsters and nearly took down Zeus and made Hercules nearly mortal and would have been successful if it weren’t for Panic and Pain (his minions). Therefore, spot number four goes to Hades.

3. Finally, we have come to Mother Gothel.

She had successfully stolen Rapunzel from her castle, she convinced her that the world outside was bad and that Rapunzel should stay in her tower forever just so Gothel could keep her hair. Mother Gothel also manipulated other characters in the movie to get what she wanted. She had almost gotten away with everything until Flynn or Eugene cut her hair off, ending Mother Gothel's youth and life. Keep in mind Gothel did all her deeds without magic and using only Rapunzel's hair to keep herself alive and youth.

2. Claude Frollo

The creepiest villain. Ever. He was a judge, and in those times judges were usually holy men. His villain song is the worst because he sings about his sexual desire for Esmerelda. As a child, I did not understand why he was evil, but when I re-watched it, I was horrified. This man sent shivers up my spine because he wants her so bad he decides to burn almost every building in Paris. If that is not creepy, I don't know what is. However, for a dark book, Disney really, really made it lighter by 95 percent.

1. Finally, the number one spot is Scar.

Scar is one villain who had succeeded for the longest time. He got rid of his brother so he be could be king and while killing Mufasa he whispered, "Long live the king." Oh my. He then got the hyenas to go after Simba and eat him, but Simba was lucky, he was a cub and got away from Scar. Scar had left his only nephew out to die. Scar then promised the hyenas that their lives would be great, when in reality there was barely anything to eat. Next, he caged up Zazu and made him sing and threatened to kill him. Then when Simba grew up, he had destroyed the kingdom to the bare minimum and then attempted to murder Simba and made him confess a lie Simba had been living. He also, abused Sarabi. World's worst uncle...yeah I think so.
