Everyone needs some kitties to play with.

None of the other sides had seen Patton come out of his room for the day. There was a mixture of curiosity and concern amongst everyone until Deceit popped up and decided, with brown eyes present, to come up with a game where they would guess what was keeping the marshmallow isolated. Logan didn't want to partake in the game, so everyone made guesses that ranged from realistic to chimerical enough to make the teacher's eye twitch. Every once in a while, Patton would come out of his room to make his way to the bathroom, but he didn't pay attention to everyone else's game or the loud growling in his stomach. Everyone else ended up laughing amongst themselves during their game and Logan decided it would be best to actually ask Patton what was going on during a time where it was less likely he would be followed.

Logan took off his shoes to avoid noisy foot steps and made his way to Patton's room before putting his shoes back on. Logan knocked on the door and softly called out, "Patton? It's Logan. May I come in?" He didn't get a response, but he did notice that the door was unlocked, so he decided that, if Patton was hiding something, opening the door carefully would give him a chance to have a small peek before Patton panics against his clutter of nostalgia. As he carefully opened the door, he snuck his way into the room and was almost surprised. He wasn't sure what he was expecting to find, but he didn't expect what he did: Patton was playing with little kid versions of Virgil with cat whiskers on his face and Gavin wearing the cat hoodie. They were giggling and seemed to be having fun together as if they really were Patton's own children.

Logan gave a small smile and leaned back, not remembering that he left the door cracked open until he heard it close behind him. Patton looked in Logan's direction and both of their eyes grew wide. Patton whispered something to the little kids before placing his own cat hoodie over their heads. He looked over at Logan and struggled to speak before saying, "Umm... pathetic, right?" as his face grew red.

"It's actually quite precious. Care to explain your inspiration?" Logan asked while walking closer to the paternal figure.

"Well, consider it a combination of those adorable drawings the fanders made of Gavin as Catboy and our occasional moments of associating Virgil with cats. Gavin was pretty obvious, but since Virgil needed more room to grow, I figured I could still be best friends with him and smother a younger one," Patton clarified, still looking embarrassed as he did so.

Logan glanced over to the kids covered by Patton's hoodie and walked over to them. He slowly lifted up the hoodie and awkwardly told them "Umm...peek-a-boo." The kids looked shy and Kitty Virgil held Mini Gavin protectively. Logan tossed the hoodie back to Patton without looking in his direction and Patton was able to put it back over his shoulders.

"Kids, this is Logan, Daddy's... Logan," Patton introduced with uncertainty.

The kids looked at Logan for a good while before they walked to him on all fours and curled by his feet. Logan looked at them longer than the average person before he was able to get a better understanding on why Patton considered them adorable. Patton sat down and Logan sat across from him.

"So... what have you been doing to take care of them?" Logan asked while gently stroking Kitty Virgil's hair and finding small traces of cat ears underneath the mop.

"I've given them fruit salad as well as bacon and eggs this morning. I escort them to the accommodated bathroom in here in case they need to go. I even made sure they have enough space anywhere that wasn't a chair in order to bask in sunlight. Kitty Virgil is still getting used to his environment and Mini Gavin won't leave without him, so I've been considering a soon day where we can all wander around the mind palace and subtly introduce him to everyone else," Patton explained without sounding overly ecstatic, almost as if trying to prove he can be mature and responsible.

Patton lied down and played with a ball alongside Mini Gavin. As they were playing, Kitty Virgil snuggled his way in between Logan's crisscrossed legs and Logan gave a small smile. He knew the real Virgil would be too self conscious to do such an action, but the nerd still found it adorable nonetheless.

Logan reached with the intent of petting Mini Gavin's hoodie ears, but was met with more hair than expected and small fits of familiar giggling. Logan looked in the direction he was reaching in and noticed he accidentally stroked Patton's hair. Neither of them complained or pulled away, so Logan intentionally continued to play with Patton's hair as he was playing with the Catboy. They didn't want to be the only ones to have the nice experience, but, until then, they were content only two of them playing with two little kitty boys in the room.
