Underrated Shows (Part 1)

These are a few underrated shows in a list.

This is a list of TV shows that I like but other people don't watch much in no particular order. I watch new shows all the time so I'm considering a part two. Obviously, people have watched these shows, so if you have watched some and don't think they're that underrated, forgive me for my incompetence. Or just leave me alone with my shows. Your choice.

1. 'Atypical'

Atypical is a Netflix original show about a kid named Sam that has a form of Autism. He functions okay but has some troubles in his life, as would be expected. I absolutely adored this show. I watched it one night and it was so good. I highly recommend it if you like family dramas because there is a lot of that in here.

2. 'Dark'

Dark is another Netflix original. It's German as well. I can't really say much about this show without giving away spoilers so I suggest to just give it a try.

3. 'American Vandel'

American Vandel is a mockumentary-style show about a kid accused of spray painting male genitalia on teachers cars. It sounds stupid but once you watch it, you'll see how good it is. I'm excited for season two.

4. 'Schitt's Creek'

Schitt's Creek is a comedy about a rich family that loses almost everything and is forced to move to a small town that the father had previously purchased. I didn't think much of this show when I first started it but after two or three episodes, you start connecting with some of the characters. It's really good and I highly suggest it if you want to laugh. It's on Netflix but isn't an original. It also doesn't have the latest season yet.

5. 'The Good Place'

The Good Place is a comedy about a woman that dies and goes to heaven. The only problem is that she is not who heaven thinks she is. It stars Kristen Bell and Ted Danson. The creator of the show also created Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Parks and Rec. There is a decent sized group of people who watch the show but I don't think it's talked about enough.

6. 'La Casa De Papel' or 'Money Heist'

La Casa De Papel is a Spanish Netflix original about a group of criminals that hold a heist in the Royal Mint of Spain. It's an interesting series that I highly recommend. It can get slow at times but stick with it and you'll get a great pay off. The characters are intriguing and you can really connect with them even though they are the "Bad Guys." It's a little scary how much I hated the supposed good guys in the show. I rooted for the criminals. But that's often common in a lot of these crime dramas.

7. 'On My Block'

On My Block is a Netflix original about a group of kids living in a rough neighborhood. But it's about more than that. It's about heartbreak and friendship and the struggles of minorities in America. It has a lot to say and I don't think enough people are listening. It's just a really touching show that's also full of laughs. It has faced some controversy with one of its actresses but don't let that throw you off of this show. It's really good and I highly recommend it.

That's all for now. I will make a part two because there are so many other shows that I love. This isn't even all of the Netflix shows I love—not to mention Hulu and Amazon Prime. Seriously, look these shows up because they are so good.
