Wait, Does Vulture Steal His Helmet from Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming?

Earlier today, the second trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming debuted, giving us a better (albeit spoiler-filled) look at what's to come in Spider-Man's first solo adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And while the trailer gave us plenty of glimpses at Spider-Man, there was a bigger emphasis on Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man — who now appears to have a more substantial role than once thought — and Michael Keaton's Vulture.

Stark is seen at several points throughout the trailer, along with a few shots of him in his Iron Man suit. However, one screenshot in particular provides us with a glimpse of an Iron Man helmet, but Tony isn't holding it — the Vulture is — as you can see at about 0:45 seconds into the trailer:

Does the Vulture Have an Iron Man Helmet in His Possession?

We can't really see who's holding the helmet, but with the feathered collar, it's obvious that the Vulture is in possession of it. (Sidenote: Eyebrows were drawn onto Iron Man's helmet, which hasn't been done before in the MCU — what's up with that?)

Now, considering that Vulture has Iron Man's tech, he's probably going to utilize it at some point in #SpiderManHomecoming, since almost every past Marvel villain has — in one way or another — wanted to use Stark's tech for their own purposes, going back to Obadiah Stane in Iron Man (2008).

In theory, Stark's tech would definitely come in handy for a villain like Vulture, who doesn't yet appear to be an enhanced meta-human like he eventually becomes in the comics — and after taking a closer look at Vulture's helmet, it shares a lot of similarities with Iron Man's. The color scheme may be different, but the underlying shape of the helmet gives away its original construct.

The curvature on the chin portion of Vulture's helmet is practically identical to Iron Man's; the top portion being rounded is another similarity. Apart from Vulture stealing Iron Man's helmet, he probably made off with other goodies as well. (If he could steal the whole suit, he'd probably do it.)

Vulture's apparent burglary of Iron Man's tech is a big indicator of him being a more than capable villain. It definitely says something about how much of a challenge he'll be, even for Iron Man, let alone the teenage Peter Parker.
