The unthinkable has happened. You click on a new episode only to be bombarded by a six lettered word all fans despise—HIATUS. How are you supposed to survive a week to a few months without your precious webtoon? Fear not fellow fans, for here are 25 hiatus boredom busters to help you function until your favorite webtoon comes back from hiatus.

1) Follow on Social Media

Creators can be found actively posting updates on many social media platforms. Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook are some of the top sites creators use. Follow their accounts to get updates on their latest work.

2) Write an Encouraging Message

Let webtoon creators know you appreciate the time and effort they put into their webtoon. Leave a comment about how their work has impacted your life for the better. These simple but heartfelt notes might just be the encouragement they need to keep going.

3) Become a Patreon

Patreon

Consider becoming a financial supporter of your favorite creators. By becoming a patreon, you will often get early access to sketches, prints, and behind the scenes content. You are also helping creators get closer to making webtoons for a living.

4) Buy Webtoon Merch

A handful of creators offer their own merch through different suppliers (etsy, society6, and shopwebtoon). Consider buying a poster, postcard, shirt, or hoodie to support a creator financially. Then display your sweet new merch all over your bedroom.

5) Attend a Livestream

Webtoon - I Love Yoo

Watch a creator in action as they work their magic to create the webtoon you know and love. Chat with the creator and fellow fans about the webtoon. Sometimes creators even give little hints and secret intel about their work.

6) Participate in Q&A Sessions

Webtoon - Let's Play

Keep a list of those burning questions you’ve been dying to ask your favorite creators. Once in a while, creators will open up a Q&A session to answer questions about their personal life, writing process, and webtoon characters. Don’t miss out on a chance to get your questions answered.

7) Buy a Fast Pass

Webtoon - Blood Ink

Want to get ahead of other fans when it comes to reading the newest episode? Then consider buying a Fast Pass, to read up to three episodes in advance. Buying a Fast Past quenches your desire to know what happens next and helps the author financially at the same time.

8) Reread Webtoons

Take time to reread webtoons to discover important scenes and possible hints of foreshadowing. Rereading refreshes your memory regarding the plot and characters. It will create a stronger understanding and a new appreciation for the story.
