It's pretty safe to say that Spider-Man: Homecoming is a huge success, as fans are flocking to watch it again and again. Tom Holland's web-slinger is universally loved and is quickly becoming the standard for Spider-Man adaptations.

But before that, many fans held the '90s animated series in equally high regard — and if you loved Spider-Man: The Animated Series back then as much as I did, you're in for a treat. The Geek Twins have created a mash-up trailer using footage from Spider-Man: The Animated Series accompanying the audio from the first trailer of #SpiderManHomecoming. Check it out:

There's obviously a few differences in the footage with the movie, mainly in terms of the characters used, but they've actually done quite a good job with matching the clips — even down to the company logos appearing at the beginning. Thankfully, Spider-Man: The Animated Series featured a wide array of #Marvel characters including Iron Man, so a lot of the Tony Stark elements featured the '90s imagining of the character. There was even some mild sound editing on The Geek Twins' part as they added the effects to Tony Stark's lines to Peter Parker in the car as the footage used featured the superhero in his armor.

The Perfect Nostalgia Hit

Spider-Man: The Animated Series is beloved by fans for a number of reasons, but the main one is the understanding of the character; this Spider-Man wasn't perfect, but he had a strong sense of responsibility. The final arc of the series featured Spider-Man searching for Mary Jane Watson after she disappeared into a dimensional portal due to the Green Goblin.

This Spidey had to make difficult choices while also demonstrating his intellect; arguably, before Spider-Man: Homecoming, this gave us one of the most comic-accurate portrayals of Peter Parker.

Christopher Daniel Barnes voiced the wall-crawler and his voice remains the one I hear when I read Spider-Man comics; he brought a genuine emotion to Spidey's voice and seemed to truly enjoy voicing the character. There were subtle differences between his voice as Peter Parker and his voice as Spider-Man; his voice was ever so slightly higher while in costume, and it became more confident and assertive. His delivery of Spider-Man's trademark banter was excellent as well; it seemed that he was able to balance the two sides of Peter Parker's character perfectly, just as Tom Holland has done in the new movie.

If you loved Spider-Man: The Animated Series in the '90s as much as I did, this clip will have filled you with joy; it combined the show that introduced me to the character with the latest movie that I love. Seriously, what's not to love?
