What Is It With Me And Redheads?

Maybe it goes with my passion or something?

When I was a kid, I grew up around a lot of gals who had blonde hair and darker hair but I've never seen a gal with red hair before. In 2002, one of the movies that got me into superheroes and superhero movies, Spider-Man was coming out and Kirsten Dunst was in it. I already had a bit of a crush on her because I used to watch, Bring It On a lot when I came home from school but by the time I saw Spider-Man, my crush for her developed a bit of a fire. I was seven or eight years old at the time and she was all I talked about besides Britney Spears and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Scooby Doo, Buffy The Vampire Slayer).

Fast forward to my preteen days and I'm still crushing on her but I'm also crushing on other actresses except they aren't redheads so I went a good four years without crushing on redheads.

By the time I was 15, it was like a resurgence came in for me and my older brother was crushing on an actress from a TV show that he got me into called Victorious on Nickelodeon. Ariana Grande (Victorious, Sam & Cat) had our hearts for a while, then The Help came out and I didn't watch it all the way through but my eyes widened when I saw Jessica Chastain, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Emma Stone.

I already adored Emma Stone since Zombieland and seeing that she has red hair just made me adore her more. Never saw Jessica Chastain before The Help and since she was blonde in the movie, I still developed a bit of a crush on her which of course, went deeper since I watched her in Zero Dark Thirty.

Even though Bryce Dallas Howard was the villain of the movie, I still found her beautiful plus I only recognized her from Spider-Man 3 except her hair was like a blonde-ish or white color but ever since I've seen her in more, I've adored her as well.

I've also noticed that over time, red became one of my favorite colors because I think it fits me. When I'm in love, I bleed it sometimes. When I'm angry, I see red. When I'm passionate especially if I'm intense about it, I wear red whether if it's a jacket, a vest, a shirt, or even if I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve about it so when I see a gal that has red hair, it sets a fire off in me that not even I can control sometimes.

The wildfire of redheads continues to burn for me because I'm still noticing a lot of beauty in them. The saying, "Gingers don't have souls" doesn't intimidate me like people think it should because what ends up intimidating me more is what I'm witnessing like if I see Karen Gillan at the movie theater and I'm hanging out with a few friends at the arcade section and I'm seeing that she's this lovely woman but she also has this humor to her, the saying is not going to be running through my head, it'll be a question.

That question will be either, "How can I make her laugh without using a stupid pickup line?" Or, "Can I make her smile by being me?" Scenarios will be running through my head but I'll have to roll the dice even if I'm close to freaking out so I end up playing, "Guts Over Fear" by Eminem and Sia or "Phenomenal" by Eminem in my head to keep me focused.

So what is it with me and redheads? I can't give much of a direct answer. I like what I like is the best answer I can give and sometimes I can't help it but maybe it's the mystery of the question that is a drive for me. I may have different tastes to different hair colors of women but redheads is a type that I've noticed that brings something out of me and I can't explain it entirely.
