It has begun, filming for Avengers: Infinity War has commenced and cast members have already been seen approaching filming locations. None of the principal photography has begun so no spoilers yet but the presence of one actor on the set of Avengers: Infinity War teases a team-up of cosmic proportions.

Sean Gunn Confirms Involvement with Avengers: Infinity War

Sean Gunn, known for his role as Kraglin in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 1 is set to reprise his role in GOTG Vol. 2 where his role is said to be much more expanded than his part in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 1. Gunn's following appearance will be in Avengers: Infinity War. Yes, you heard correctly. Sean Gunn recently posted an Instagram post, confirming his involvement with Avengers: Infinity War

There's been no confirmation of Kraglin (Sean Gunn) having a role in Avengers: Infinity War but seeing as how he's revealed his involvement with the film, it probably means Kraglin has an integral role to play. However, the glimpse of Sean Gunn on the set of Avengers Infinity War could have been misinterpreted.

There's a good chance that Sean Gunn isn't playing Kraglin in Avengers: Infinity War. Kraglin will have an expanded role in the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 but his presence in GOTG Vol.2 doesn't assure a follow-up appearance in Avengers: Infinity War; mainly because the actor who plays Kraglin might have another purpose for being on set.

Sean Gunn Plays Kraglin and Does the Motion Capture Performance for Rocket Raccoon

For those who don't know, Sean Gunn plays dual roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He's the alien Kraglin, member of Yondu's Ravagers, as well as the actor who does the motion capture work for Rocket Raccoon.

Bradley Cooper does all the voice work for Rocket Raccoon while Sean Gunn is on set in a green motion-capture suit, performing all the motions for the character to be digitally placed later.

Keeping Gunn's dual role as Rocket's motion capture actor and Kraglin in mind, the sighting of Sean Gunn on the set of Avengers: Infinity War probably means its Rocket Raccoon rather than Kraglin joining the Avengers.

Are the Guardians of the Galaxy Meeting the Avengers Early on in the Film?

There's no way to tell what part Rocket Raccoon could play in the film but considering how Sean Gunn is on set quite early into filming, it probably means Rocket Raccoon will meet the Avengers early on in Avengers: Infinity War.

We should also mention that Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is confirmed to have a role in Avengers: Infinity War so the potential for Rocket Raccoon and the rest of the Guardians to show up is definitely possible. And seeing as how Sean Gunn's presence on set practically spells out Rocket Raccoon meeting the Avengers, he'll probably be accompanied by the rest of his Guardian pals - that is whoever is accompanying Rocket at the conclusion of GOTG Vol. 2.

For now, we can only speculate on what Sean Gunn is doing on the set of Avengers: Infinity War but there's a good chance he's providing the motion capture work for one Rocket Raccoon as the Guardians Of The Galaxy begin to assemble alongside the Avengers.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres May 4, 2018.
