What's Going On with Jim Carrey?

Is he enlightened or is he crazy?

I don't know of many people who didn't instantly fall in love with Jim Carrey early on in his comedy career. He always presented himself as kind of the wacky friend everyone has. You know the one. The one who can't behave himself in public? But why would you want him to? He's freaking hilarious!

His early roles in movies like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Dumb and Dumber had us all hook, line, and sinker. This guy wasn't scared to say or do anything! He would do anything to see people laugh. To bring people joy seemed like Jim's only purpose in life. Jim's career continued down the path of creating happiness for everyone else. This makes me wonder if Jim was just plugging along in life, playing these roles that everyone else expected him to play. What if Jim was either knowingly or unknowingly ignoring roles that he wanted to play all this time?

Take a moment to ponder how that would make you feel. If you just kept pushing down your own desires over and over. What if Hollywood was trying to tell him who to be so they could just generate more profits from his talent? What if Jim wasn't finding any fulfillment playing wacky roles all of a sudden? There are any number of possibilities that could have been going on. One can only speculate at best.

One thing is for certain. Jim wanted more out of life. He wanted to evolve and grow and find meaning. Something wasn't sitting right. All of that money he made and he still wasn't finding happiness. So Jim began to search and explore the meaning of our existence. He already openly admitted on the Oprah Winfrey Show he believed in and always had a natural ability to use the Law of Attraction. He knew he was different than other people already very early in his life. Simply asking The Universe for something specific and trusting that it would just show up and it did. It always did for him.

Jim was already up to his ears in metaphysical and esoteric teachings and people always recognized him for it. Ever since the release of the book The Secret, he and many other celebrities have openly come forward in support of the Law of Attraction. Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Tyler Perry, the pop band LMFAO, Steve Harvey, and most obviously, Oprah Winfrey. I mean something had a hold of Jim and just would not let go. It was deeper than the Law of Attraction. It was something more evolved than the Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction is only the beginning. After years and years of researching religion and science and spirituality myself, I began to realize that they were all starting to blend together. That science, well quantum physics more specifically, actually supported the Law of Attraction. When I happened onto an experiment called the Double Slit Experiment, I was blown away. Not only is everything energy, but energy and matter behave differently when being observed and not being observed. Physicists discovered electrons are in the form of a wave and behave that way until observed by someone. Which ultimately means we are creating reality simply by observing it. BOOM. Mind. Blown.

Jim knows this. I would venture to guess that he knows a lot more too. He uses terminology and wording that if you have never explored the esoteric and mystical, wonderful nature of the Universe, you would never understand. I think what Jim means by saying that he doesn't exist is that we are all just energy. We're not just part of the Universe, we are One with the Universe. We are everything and nothing all at the same time. Why not? If we are really creating reality with our own consciousness all day everyday, wouldn't that mean nothing we're doing really matters? It's all for fun or all for make believe. It means what we believe it to mean.

I'm no psychologist but I think Jim is starting to voice his resentment and angst against Hollywood, the fashion industry, and even the establishments that give out all the fancy awards to actors and actresses. He's venting about how superficial it can all be in the bigger scheme of things. He's finding his way through his healing and allowing himself the time and space to partake in what Jim wants to partake in these days. He's not being bullied around by people anymore. He's going to say what he feels and that's the best path toward healing for all of us. He's just discovered something bigger than life. Honoring himself before anyone else.

So the answer to the question in the title of this article. Enlightened. Jim Carrey is most definitely enlightened in my book.
