It’s...EMIKO QUEEN!

Another Queen is wearing the hood.

Shockingly, the episode opened with a women training like a badass and then suiting up as The Green Arrow, however, we are not told of her identity. The episode then centres on whether this new emerald archer is responsible for certain Arrow-centric deaths. At the episode's end? This woman is found speaking to a grave, to her 'father,' who is revealed to be Robert Queen. This all but reveals her to be Emiko Queen.

In the comics, Emiko is the child of Robert Queen and Shado, who is taken and raised/trained by the villain Komodo. in this iteration, we know that Robert Queen has had a string of affairs. It wouldn't be so far fetched as to believe that Emiko is the product of one of them, maybe somehow Isabel Rochev?

Oliver Queen—SCPD Marksman

The OG is now on the side of the law.

This episode changed the trajectory of Arrow forever with the seventh season having Oliver Queen's Green Arrow as an official SCPD employee, no longer being an employee. With Oliver now working on the side of the law, could this bring him into contact with his yet-to-be-revealed sibling?

With the fact that Oliver will now most probably be tasked with tracking down this new vigilante, it is possible that when he eventually catches her, he will find out who she is and feel obligated to protect her once he has proof of who she is. Oliver will once again be fighting against the law to protect pretty much the only family he has left aside from his currently absent son and sister.

Stanley will cause the siblings to clash.

Where does Oliver’s crazed fan work into things?

We can't forget him. Oliver's warped fan Stanley, known in the comics as The Star City Slayer, escaped Slabside during the seventh episode of the season which also seen Oliver released from prison. Fortunately, Oliver was given a chance to see the real side of Stanley, finding out he was a serial killer with a messed up sense of justice before being thrown into Slabside.

With this dangerous psycho on the loose, it wouldn't surprise me if he became a big part of the rest of Arrow's seventh season. why would this benefit the show? it gives Oliver and Emiko something to disagree on. Oliver, seeing how Stanley behaves and now having a less black and white view on villains, will most probably want Stanley to get professional help that doesn't include having an arrow shot into his chest. Emiko? something tells me she will have the idea of justice that Oliver had in the earlier seasons. Villains are villains, and deserve no compassion. This could mean the siblings could butt heads and therefore a Civil War-esque situation could incur between the two.

Something Deeper

What does Emiko have planned for her half-brother?

They way Emiko speaks at Robert's grave gives off a weird feeling.

"Hey, Dad. Turns out Oliver is more like you than I thought. More like me too. But I'm not giving up, not ever".

Those are the words Emiko speaks. What does it mean? Is she saying he's brave in some way? Driven? Is she saying he is unpredictable? I think it is fair to say Emiko and Robert are/were unpredictable individuals. Also, what is she not giving up on? Arrow's seventh season has a lot of explaining to do.

Arrow airs Monday nights on The CW and will return on January 20th, 2019.
