Welcome, Dragon Ball fans!!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!
Gogeta is officially canon now!!
There will be a serious debate amongst Dragon Ball fans as to which fusion character is the strongest. Gogeta and Vegito are one of the most powerful fusions in Dragon Ball history. The "Potara Fusion" and the "Fusion Dance" have captivated fans around the world. Vegito has been by far the strongest fusion we have ever seen. Recently, we learned that Gogeta will have his first real battle against Broly in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie.
However, after witnessing Gogeta’s newly found attacks, this validates that he may be the strongest fusion character ever.
Who's the most powerful between Gogeta and Vegito?
Today, I am going to compare these two fusion characters based on their advantages and disadvantages.
So without further ado, let’s get right to the Gogeta or Vegito debate!
First off, let’s discuss Vegito.
This fusion warrior is immensely powerful. He is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta by using the “Potara Earrings.” The only way this fusion can work is if each earring is placed on opposite ears. Once the fusion earrings are placed correctly on each ear, a new being is born. Vegito’s personality has the same traits as Vegeta: Being sarcastic, mocking his opponents, and having a sadistic nature.
Most of all, Vegito enjoys humiliating his opponents. Vegito was first introduced on July 28, 1995 in a Japanese manga of Dragon Ball Z. The title of the manga volume was called The Ultimate Combination. This is some of the history of Vegito.
Now, let’s discuss Vegito’s characteristics and his revamped character in Dragon Ball Super.
We were all thrilled about Vegito's return in the Future Trunks saga in Dragon Ball Super. In Dragon Ball Z, we learned about the use of the “Potara Earrings” and how the fused warriors cannot be separated again. In this case, the fusion time limit was cut short. Hence, the fusion form was separated. Based on the old Supreme Kai’s knowledge of the Potara Earrings, a fusion warrior can obtain an overwhelming power.
Furthermore, Vegito’s abilities would not only be added, but his power would also be multiplied several times. As long as the Potara Earrings are placed on the correct ear, the fusion will work.
Let’s dive into the new characteristics of Vegito that were introduced in Dragon Ball Super!
Vegito vs. Fusion Zamasu
The warrior (Goku and Vegeta) fused with the Potara Earrings can only be fused for 30 minutes. In addition, this fusion time limit can be diminished by Vegito’s overuse of energy. This scenario happened when Vegito unleashed his “Final Kamehameha” move against Fusion Zamasu. Hence, the Potara Earrings were destroyed. When this happens, the mergers (Goku and Vegeta) are separated automatically, which is understandable.
Now that we know some basic characteristics of Vegito, let’s transition to Gogeta and discuss his characteristics!
Gogeta is the fusion of both Goku and Vegeta.
Gogeta was first introduced in Fusion Reborn and Dragon Ball GT as Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. However, his facial features look similar to Gotenks, who is the fusion of Goten and Trunks. These are some basic characteristics of Gogeta we have known so far. In order for the Gogeta fusion to work, both Goku and Vegeta must perform a “Fusion Dance.”
Goku and Vegeta's Fusion Dance
The above video clip is a perfect example of a Fusion Dance.
This Fusion Dance works when both warriors perform several steps.
The power levels of both warriors must be the same. Once it is in perfect alignment, Gogeta is born. In addition, the fusion lasts for 30 minutes. However, the fusion itself is diminished by the amount of power and energy used. This is the same scenario as in the case of Vegito. After a failed attempt, both warriors must wait a while before they can merge again. This Fusion Dance is a disadvantage for Gogeta.
Again, if the Fusion Dance is performed well, a new warrior will be born. The characteristics and amount of power can vary, depending on a mistake made during the fusion dance. It has been said that the power increase from each transformation—like Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan Blue—can decrease the fusion time limit even further.
Who's more powerful so far?
Take your pick!
So Vegito reappeared to face Fusion Zamasu in the Future Trunks saga in Dragon Ball Super. Now, Gogeta will reappear in Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
This is a great time to be a Dragon Ball fan!
Gogeta's New Aura
In this beautiful clip here, we see Gogeta powering up with authority.
He looks awesome with a new gorgeous aura that looks like Ultra Instinct, but it is not.
Gogeta and Vegito
Based on the characteristics of both Gogeta and Vegito, the more powerful warrior here is Vegito.
It has been said countless times that Vegito is the most powerful warrior in all of Dragon Ball. If Vegito transforms even further, he can become more powerful than the angels. Furthermore, he can become stronger than the Gods of Destruction. I do not want to get ahead of myself here, but there are so many possibilities, right?
We all know that Vegito is extremely powerful. In a serious fight, however, he would end up losing to Gogeta.
Because if you go back to Vegito’s previous battles, he would always underestimate his opponents. Hence, he would end up losing. Based on characteristics, I pick Vegito because we have known him for a while now. Based on the fight techniques, I will pick Gogeta. The reason why is simply because he is capable of controlling his cocky nature while fighting. Unlike Vegito, Gogeta does not have to toy with you just by his raw power. He can defeat you in many different ways. Gogeta has that killer instinct—you know what I mean?
Now, it is possible that Gogeta could beat Vegito based on a scenario of a fight. If I had to depend on a fusion warrior to defeat Broly, without any antics, I would pick Gogeta all the way.
So who's stronger?!
Overall, I would say that after the premiere of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, then we will know who's the strongest fusion warrior. My best bet will be on Gogeta because he has that killer instinct. He will stop at nothing to finish you off for good.
This concludes the Gogeta versus Vegito debate.
