Of all the articles in all the world, you have to read this one. For movie buffs out there, a great film is immortalized by its one-liners. From Leia's "help me Obi Wan" to Stallone's "Aaaaaaadriiiiiiian" drawl, some fans can quote their favorite film word for word. Time to take a trip down memory lane and start reciting the classics. While Batman v Superman's "Martha" line won't be making the list, let's look at 20 of the best quotes that the silver screen has to offer — get ready for the feels! Check out the best movie quotes of all time below.

Please note, these are in no particular order, so if Spider-Man comes before Batman, no offense is intended. If you're ready, "Up, up, and away"!

20. 'With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.'

Film: Spider-Man (2002)

Spoken by: Cliff Robertson

The synonymous Spider-Man phrase actually comes from “Amazing Fantasy #15" from August 1962 and wasn't spoken by either Peter Parker or Uncle Ben. An unknown narrator says "with great power there must also come — great responsibility!" However, Ben's well-known fatherly words of wisdom come in Sam Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man. Spoken by Cliff Robertson's Uncle Ben, it set the tone for Peter taking on the famous Spider-Man persona and was made all the more poignant by Ben's looming demise a few scenes later.

19. 'Get Away From Her, You Bitch.'

Film: Aliens (1986)

Spoken by: Sigourney Weaver

Often misheard as "stay away from her, you bitch," Ripley's iconic line was even poked fun at in Scream 2. If taking on a horde of acid-spitting aliens wasn't enough, Sigourney Weaver's Ripley still managed to remain sassy, rock a pair of Reebok stompers, and pull off a mechanical suit. I doubt that Ripley would be half the heroine icon she is today without that final Aliens showdown.

18. 'What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?'

Film: Scream (1996)

Spoken by: Ghostface

Poor Drew Barrymore. Tipped as the final girl of the Scream franchise, viewers were left stunned when Barrymore's Casey Becker was sliced and diced in the opening scene. Just as memorable as her death is the phone call from the Ghostface killer. While the quote became a tagline of sorts for the rest of the franchise, even used in marketing campaigns for the sequels, who hasn't phoned their friend late at night to try and scare the sh*t out of them by saying "What's your favorite scary movie?"

17. 'Here's Johnny!'

Film: The Shining (1980)

Spoken by: Jack Nicholson

Shelley Duvall's time on the set of The Shining was a rocky one. If being verbally tortured by Stanley Kubrick weren't enough, the director was also known to spring surprises on the actress. One such surprise was the "Here's Johnny" scene where Duvall was unaware that Jack Nicholson was going to come smashing through the door with an axe.

It is reported that Duvall's screams of "Jack please" were aimed at Nicholson himself, whose character was coincidently called Jack too. Nicholson ad-libbed the line as an imitation of announcer Ed McMahon introducing Johnny Carson from The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, while this one goes down as one of the greatest movie quotes of all time, not just in horror.

16. 'Roads? Where We're Going, We Don't Need Roads.'

Film: Back to the Future (1985)

Spoken by: Christopher Lloyd

If there is a better way to introduce a sequel, or the painstaking wait until its arrival, then let me know. The superb final lines of Back to the Future beautifully set up Part II, but we had to wait four years before we got to see a glimpse of what Robert Zemeckis imagined 2015 looked like. Christopher Lloyd's Doc Brown was a walking quote machine, so it was only right that he closed the first installment. The sci-fi elements of Back to the Future showcased it at its best, but who would have thought we would see a flying DeLorean? Mind blown!

15. 'They May Take Our Lives, But They'll Never Take Our Freedom!'

Film: Braveheart (1995)

Spoken by: Mel Gibson

Braveheart may not exactly be one for the historians to enjoy, but there is no denying that the Gibson-esque grandeur of the film makes it a must see. While William Wallace may be based on fact, Gibson's rousing speech is entirely fictional. With his blue and white striped face, every cinephile has heard his dodgy Scottish accent at some point in their lives.

14. 'I'm King Of The World!'

Film: Titanic (1997)

Spoken by: Leonardo DiCaprio

While Leo and Kate standing on the bow of the Titanic is one of the film's most iconic scenes, the "King of the World" holler is one of the film's most spoken quotes. It was a toss-up between this and "I'll never let go," but I went with the chirpier option. The tragic tale of the downtrodden Jack going on the voyage of a lifetime had some lighter bits. Sure, James Cameron hammed up the story of the doomed ship, but it was hard not to love Jack and his fist-pumping the air with joy.

13. 'Keep The Change, Ya Filthy Animal.'

Film: Home Alone (1990)

Spoken by: Ralph Foody

Home Alone is a staple of '90s nostalgia. It is surreal seeing a young Macaulay Culkin before the horrors of Hollywood hardened him. The "filthy animal" scene is pulled from straight from the film and has become famous on Christmas sweaters worldwide. Home Alone was actually a lot more meta than first thought, the line comes from the fictional film Angels with Filthy Souls, which was a parody of Angels with Dirty Faces, and was created just for the film. Home Alone 2 actually created an in-film sequel Angels with Even Filthier Souls.

12. 'You're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat.'

Film: Jaws (1975)

Spoken by: Roy Scheider

Jaws had the ultimate big build of tension until Spielberg revealed the size of the giant shark. As Brody, Hooper, and Quint attempt to take on the titular Jaws, Roy Scheider ad libbed the line "You're gonna need a bigger boat," all without dropping his cigarette — now that's what I call acting.

11. 'Follow The Yellow Brick Road.'

Film: The Wizard of Oz (1939)

Spoken by: Judy Garland

The Wizard of Oz is full of quotable snippets from Dorothy Gale's time in the strange land with her scruffy dog in tow. However, few quotes on this list turn into full blown song. "Follow the yellow brick road" leads into a musical adventure and some squeaky-voiced munchkins to complete the jolliness. There have been various reimaginings of Oz, from gritty prison dramas to hyper-realistic fairy tales, but all at some point have had a golden paved path.

10. 'I See Dead People.'

Film: The Sixth Sense (1999)

Spoken by: Haley Joel Osment

Chilling, and it isn't just Haley Joel Osment's breathy performance that sticks with you from M. Night Shyamalan's twisty thriller The Sixth Sense. The fact that the true state of Bruce Willis's Dr. Malcolm Crowe was in front of us the entire time makes it even smarter, let alone when Osment's character literally spells it out in front of us in movie quote form. "I see dead people" was parodied in everything from t-shirts to the Scary Movie films, it is just a shame that Osment's career didn't last as long as the quote.

9. 'No, I Am Your Father.'

Film: The Empire Strikes Back

Spoken by: James Earl Jones

Few lines carry such gravitas, as well as plot twists, as "No, I am your father." As well as everyone misquoting "Luke, I am your father," the line became an iconic part of the Star Wars franchise. Back before we all guessed the big twists in a film, The Empire Strikes Back threw a doozy as us. Couple the reveal of big bad Darth Vader as the hero's father with James Earl Jones's booming voice and you are on to a winner. Plus, Toy Story 2 used the exact same line, so bonus points for that!

8. 'Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner.'

Film: Dirty Dancing (1987)

Spoken by: Patrick Swayze

Despite Patrick Swayze reportedly hating the "Nobody puts Baby in the corner" line, along with that finale lift, the movie quote is probably the best known part of Dirty Dancing. His book The Time of My Life says that the last scene underwent a lot of changes, but that he could barely bring himself to say his line. However, it is a quote that is so quotable it had a Veronica Mars episode named after it and even a Fall Out Boy song dedicated to it. While Swayze has tragically passed on, he lives on in his despised line.

7. 'I'll Be Back.'

Film: The Terminator franchise (1984-present)

Spoken by: Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnie's T-800 was a machine of few words, but everyone has at least tried an impression of "I'll be back" with an Austrian accent. Fortunately/unfortunately the Terminator was back many times, most recently with 2015's Terminator Genisys. It became more than just a line though, the altered catchphrase of people being back found its way into every film of the franchise, and even branched out into The Expendables films. Pure sci-fi cheese covered in molten metal. Can I get a cyborg thumbs up?

6. 'No Mr. Bond, I Expect You To Die.'

Film: Goldfinger (1964)

Spoken by: Gert Fröbe/ Michael Collins

I'm putting it out there, Goldfinger is my favorite Bond film, and even now, its corniness still stands the test of time. The scene where we briefly think that Sean Connery's secret agent may be sliced by a laser is perfectly balanced with the line "No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die." Sadly, credit can't go to actor Gert Fröbe, his lines were dubbed in English by Michael Collins. The Goldfinger quote went on to top numerous polls as Bond's greatest moment across the entire franchise, and it is easy to see why!

5. 'Welcome To Prime Time, Bitch!'

Film: A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)

Spoken by: Robert Englund

The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise had some truly imaginative deaths, usually bookended by a Freddy Krueger one-liner like "How's this for a wet dream?" However, the best Freddyism comes in the third movie (arguably one of the better entries), Part III had comedy Freddy but still with his dark edge. The death of poor Penelope Sudrow's Jennifer even saw a cameos from Zsa Zsa Gabor and Dick Cavett, as well as possibly the best Krueger ad-lib from all the films. Trust Robert Englund to get it right.

4. 'Of All The Gin Joints In All The Towns In All The World, She Walks Into Mine.'

Film: Casablanca (1942)

Spoken by: Humphrey Bogart

The ultimate in noir romances, Casablanca should be on anyone's bucket list, and it really is one of the greatest films of all time. While "Play it" is pure movie quote gold, the gin joint line is all the more famous. Everyone from The Simpsons to Sabrina the Teenage Witch has tried their best Bogart impression. Oh yeah, Fall Out Boy even dedicated yet another song to it!

3. 'I'll Have What She's Having.'

Film: When Harry Met Sally (1989)

Spoken by: Estelle Reiner

Faking an orgasm is no mean feat, we have all been there, but perhaps not in a restaurant full of people. Meg Ryan felt suitably nervous for the restaurant scene in When Harry Met Sally, so apparently director Rob Reiner told her to fake "an orgasm that King Kong would be jealous of." However, the best quote of the film goes to Reiner's actual mother with the sharp but funny "I'll have what she's having." When Estelle Reiner died at 94, The New York Times declared that she had one of the funniest lines in cinematic history. Katz Deli itself still hangs the sign "Where Harry met Sally... hope you have what she had!"

2. 'Ever Dance With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight?'

Film: Batman (1989)

Spoken by: Jack Nicholson

There are two camps of people: those who think Jack Nicholson is the greatest incarnation of The Joker, and those who think Heath Ledger did it better. However, there is no denying that Nicholson made a lasting impression on the world of DC. Tim Burton took Bob Kane's source material and made Nicholson's Joker the man behind the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne. In and among the big plot twists came The Joker's own signature catchphrase, "Ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" Pure poetry in motion for the dark reinvention of Batman.

1. 'Luca Brasi Sleeps With The Fishes.'

Film: The Godfather (1972)

Spoken by: Richard Castellano

The chilling image of a paper wrapped fish in a bullet proof vest might not mean a lot. However, in the world of Mario Puzo's Sicilian mob books, it means an untimely demise for Luca Brasi. The Godfather films were known for their graphic violence, but the Luca Brasi quote was so iconic it was even adopted into HBO's gangster thriller The Sopranos. Brasi went from a one-dimensional book character to one of the Godfather franchise's most memorable characters thanks to that line.

So, did your favorite make this list? Did we put a smile on that face (The Dark Knight), or are you thinking surely I can't be serious (Airplane!)? Well, just remember, nobody's perfect (Some Like It Hot). I was going to use "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn," but I used that for a James Franco pun the other day, and frankly my dear, if you don't agree with the list, I don't give a damn.
