These are all my personal recommendations of movies, music and more for the year of 2018.

Movies

2018 was a great year for movies, with many must sees. If you didn't get to catch these in theaters, you've gotta rent them!

Avengers: Infinity War: the ambitious Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover that took the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and more heroes to different planets to fight a genocidal psychopath.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: the kick-ass action duo of the year with little and big surprises.

Black Panther: the first African-American superhero T'Challa, also known as the Black Panther rules the country of Wakanda while also saving it from enemies of the throne.

Bohemian Rhapsody: a musical biopic about the band Queen, from the iconic Freddie Mercury joining the band through their ground breaking Live Aid performance.

Christopher Robin: a heartwarming family film featuring Christopher Robin reuniting with his childhood best friends going on an adventure.

Crazy Rich Asians: a turn of the century romantic comedy set in beautiful Singapore that will teach you the value of family.

Fantastic Beast: The Crimes of Grindlewald: a thrilling sequel to JK Rowlings Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them, if you liked the Harry Potter series, you'll love this adventure through London with young Dumbledore and Newt Scamander trying to defeat Grindlewald before he rises to power.

Love, Simon: a romantic comedy featuring Simon whose accidentally left his email open at school and gets black mailed by a class mate in order to keep his secret. This is one of the first LGBTQ+ romantic comedies in theaters.

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again: this feel good musical featuring the music of ABBA and the magic of love, family, friendship and adventures in Greece.

Mary Poppins Returns: the iconic nanny returns to take care of the Banks children and their children as well. This movie is just as magical and colorful as the first one, with songs that will make you dance along.

Oceans 8: a girl power con artist flick featuring Debbie Ocean, sister to Danny Ocean from the original Oceans series and her crew robbing the MET Gala and pulling off a huge heist.

Paddington 2: the heartwarming sequel featuring cuddly Paddington Bear in which Paddington faces a villain who frames him and he encounters all kinds of mishaps and makes new friends to get back to his family.

Peppermint: a girl power action flick featuring Jennifer Gardner who takes justice into her own hands to avenge her family.

A Simple Favor: a movie filled with plot twists and turns and turns at every corner, making you wonder how a simple favor can turn bad so fast.

Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse: A Spider-Man cartoon featuring Peter Parker passing the torch to young Miles Morales who strives to save the world and all it's dimensions.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before: this one is on Netflix but it's a story of Lara Jean and her letters that were never meant to be sent, fake dating and contracts that turn to love.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: The sequel to Wreck It Ralph in which Ralph and Vanellope search the internet in order to save Sugar Rush and come across many interesting things searching the internet.

Venom: THE romantic comedy of the year featuring Eddie Brock, an investigative reporter and his symbiote that bonds with him after an accident at the Life Foundation. Venom and Eddie go on to save the world together and Venom decides humans might not be so bad after all.
