Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are at it again with another project, and this time they've brought in someone from the gaming community. Widely known for his video game theories from his YouTube channel, Matthew Patrick (aka MatPat) has been announced as the host of a brand new reality show called The Runner.

The YouTuber took to Twitter earlier today to announce his new job, calling on fans to watch the series and join in on the action.

So, what's The Runner about? Well, as the show's official website reads:

From Executive Producers BEN AFFLECK and MATT DAMON, 'The Runner' is the first live-action competition series that’s made for mobile. For 30 days, one Runner must fight to make his or her way across the United States while being hunted by five chase teams…and the entire nation. Everyone is fighting for their piece of a million dollars.

The show will be available to watch on Verizon's Go90 mobile entertainment app, meaning you can watch it on the go on your phone! After watching several of MatPat's theory videos, I have no doubt that he'd make an excellent host for this show. He's had experience with live-streaming before, which no doubt will be an asset since it's very mobile focused. He also knows how to keep people entertained and thinking, which will definitely keep audiences engaged with the mobile-driven show.

If you think this show is right up your alley, and you want a piece of that prize pool, head on over to The Runner's official website to learn how you can get be a part of the action. If nothing else, you'll be supporting one of our favorite video game theorists, MatPat.
