ZAG and GUESS Partner for 'Miraculous' Fashion Collection

How 'Miraculous' Is Transforming the World of Fashion

ZAG studios will be partnering with Guess fashion to bring Ladybug fashion to the real world. The GUESS x “Be Miraculous” collection, designed for kids ages six to twelve, is set to launch this summer.

Miraculous is an aspirational television series about Parisian superheroes who transform into superheroes to save their city from the workings of evil. Focused on empowerment, secret identity, transformation, first love, friendship, family, responsibility, and fashion, Miraculous teaches the importance of responsibility. The animated series was the number one girls’ series ages six to eleven on Nickelodeon for its Saturday/Sunday airtime, and it was the number two trending show on Tumblr for all of 2016.

The basis of this line will come from the four main characters of the show, such as Marinette, who has a passion for fashion, and Adrien, who is a fashion model and the son of a world class fashion designer.

"We like the idea that Miraculous inspires kids to dream and to be like a superhero. We think the audience relatability to Marinette and Adrien’s relationship, along with their secret identity as superheroes, makes this quite an intriguing story,” commented Paul Marciano, chairman and chief creative officer of GUESS INC. “We feel the fashion line will extend the positive messaging that kids can channel their inner strength to do great things.”

“Since the time I produced Miraculous Ladybug, I always wanted to create something cool for teenagers and equally inspirational for kids, and nothing can represent this combination better then GUESS with their international flair and universal appeal,” stated ZAG CEO and founder, Jeremy Zag.

“We couldn’t be more enthusiastic about this partnership and the related fashion program, which will feature a unique collection of clothing for girls and boys designed for everyday looks infused with cool, invincible superhero style.”

With highly-anticipated episodes of Miraculous to debut on Netflix US, and with global broadcasters such as Disney Channel Europe and France's TF1 in 2018, the show is on-air in over 120 countries and it may very well become ubiquitous before the end of 2018.

Fan girls of the series, dubbed "Miraculers" (typically women ages 15-25), took to Twitter to express their feelings and questions about the partnership, many of them disappointed that the target range for the collection is targeted towards children. For adults who want to rock some Miraculous t-shirts and dresses, there is a variety of Miraculous merchandise available at Hot Topic and the official ZAG Store, along with numerous customizable fan merch on websites like Amazon, eBay, RedBubble, Society6, and more.

To fans of all ages who want to support the brand, whether that be through officially licensed clothing where profits go directly towards the official release, or through legally produced fan merch, which gives Miraculous brand exposure, there are many great ways to support ZAG and the brand. After all, the Miraculous brand extends beyond clothing.

Many of these products are open to all ages, and with so many options to choose from, the magic of Miraculous doesn't start or end with this partnership with GUESS Fashion. There are many great ways to enjoy the magic of what Miraculous offers the world!

With summer right around the corner, fans can expect consumer products from all different categories to launch along the Miraculous series. Over the next few years, expect to see some truly Miraculous content rolling out on your TV, the big screen, and the shelves of your favorite stores!
