Pokemon is a Huge Part of My Life
Pokemon has been around for almost 22 years now (Being released in Japan on February 27th, 1996) and it has been a huge part of my life since I was about 7, when I got my first Pokemon game (Pokemon Blue, October 10th 1998). At first, I struggled because I couldn't read (Since I had Global Developmental Delay or GDD for short) and got lost in places like Mount Moon. When I asked a good friend of mine for help he suggested I look at the guidebooks (Which was ironic since I couldn't read at the time). But I wanted to make progress in the game that much, that I forced myself to learn to read (Which at the time was a higher grade level than my grade, although I still struggled to read anything else though). I feel if it were not for Pokemon, my reading level would be lower than it is now. I remember watching the anime any chance I got, I would always wonder what great adventures Ash and the gang would get up to this time, I also remember going to Pokemon the first movie, being shocked when Ash turned to stone and in awe when all the Pokemon's tears brought him back to life. I also remember getting the free Mewtwo promo card (When I was eight years old that was awesome to get). It could also get me into trouble too...There was a time where a friend of mine (Let's just call him Jeff) and I were right into a Pokemon Battle (Third Generation, either Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald) and a mutual friend of ours said it was time to go to the Learning centre (All three of us had Specials needs). We ignored him so we could finish the battle (Which took us only a minute or so longer). We were like two minutes late and we got an earful from the Teachers Aide. I remember playing Pokemon on long car rides, one instance was when my aunt and I were going to Halifax for a back appointment for me (I have Scoliosis) and I was battling Whitney (who remembers that Which and her Cow). I was talking about that to my aunt for half the car ride. I also remember battling Jeff on long rides to the fair, I believe I always lost. It was because of Pokemon that I started my Youtube channel (Jazz Umbre). My first Let's Play was Pokemon Crystal Wedlocke. I remember the quality was crappy, I remember all the time it took, I remember all my Pokemon's deaths, but most of all I remember all the fun I had with it. I got back into collecting Pokemon cards recently too, I do card openings often. I made many Youtube friends through our mutual love of Pokemon (I remember the first time I met Nman64, he commented on my Pokemon FireRed let's play, we've been friends since). I enjoy many PokeTubers like Marriland, TheKingNappy, Herovoltsy, MandJTV Pokevids and many more. Pokemon has made many games over the years, some of my favorite games had come from the series, ( Such as Pokemon Colosseum/XD Gale of darkness, The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Series, Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver). I make it a tradition to get the main series Pokemon games when they come out, which means I am most likely going to get a Nintendo switch. Pokemon has been a huge part of my life; it is a part of who I am. I don't know where my life would be without it, I don't even want to know. Thank you, Pokemon for truly being there.

What Autism Means to Me
Let's just start this off by saying I am not formally diagnosed on the spectrum, as of yet anyway. I hope to get an evaluation at some point. And that my experience is mine alone, so please try not to take anything I say the wrong way. I never truly knew about autism until I was 15 years old. I had a friend (let's call him Bart) who had classic autism. We are actually still good friends to this day (we are both 25). When we were both 15, I didn't fully understand autism as I do today. I knew that he needed to be reminded to stay on task, and would rock back and forth and just say things that seemed odd to me out of the blue (which I now understand is echolalia and stimming, a way he takes control of all the senses he took in and to try to converse with those around him). I also didn't know there could be all kinds of individuals with some sort of autism spectrum disorder, and how it affected everyone differently. Now I understand that individuals with autism take in everything at once: sounds, touch, sights, smells, tastes.

Which Do I Like Better? Sims 2, 3, or 4
I have been playing TheSims series for about 3 years now. It started when I watched YouTube videos on TheSims, I think it was on TheSims 2, so I went on to 99gamers and got a copy of the base game. Let's say at first I hated it. To me, the controls were crap. Luckily, just before I gave The Sims 2 a try my aunt and I found a copy of the Sims 3 with a few game packs for $19.99. At the time, I couldn't afford TheSims 4. I absolutely loved TheSims 3. It had so much to offer, being out for about 4 years at the time. You could get very creative, and I loved seeing what each baby would look like. Although for every game that seems perfect, they always have flaws. The game was buggy as heck. After a couple of years, it would freeze or turn off completely. But by the time that happened, though, I was able to afford TheSims 4. My cousin told me it was on sale. I have, within the last couple of years, gotten used to TheSims 2, and can say I actually sort of enjoy it. Now, what do I like better? It depends. TheSims 2 has this realistic feeling to it. The graphics are pretty good for the era it was in (2004-2009). You had to work harder to get things (which was also a drawback, since it was harder to get into a relationship with another sim and the whole matchmaker aspect was sort of flawed in my opinion). Building houses was also iffy, but not the worse thing to deal with. I say I like TheSims 2 as a tie for 1st place with The Sims 4, as of now. The Sims 4 has a lot less bug issues and when there are bugs, they are quickly fixed by The Sims team. At first, the Sims 4 seems to be lesser to both TheSims 2 and 3 (especially with the lack of toddlers at first, it took them three years to figure that out), but as the years went on, it quickly became a favorite of mine. There are still some things (lack of pets, weather, university, lack of matchmaking systems the others had). The thing with pets will be remedied when Cats and Dogs comes out in November, but the rest...we'll just have to wait and see. Now, on to the elephant in the room...The Sims 3! It is now god awful! It was once a magnificent game, but the automatic shut down, black screens and the lag it puts on your computer is awful. Yes, when you can actually play it, it's like an experience that just fulfills you, but the overwhelming problems just aren't worth your time and energy. In my opinion, both the Sims 2 and Sims 4 are fantastic games. Once Cats and Dogs comes out, the Sims 4 might stand out a little more to me, but as it stands I'd highly recommend both of these games (mind you, you will need at least one game on disc to play the Sims 2, but to me, that is the biggest issue with the game and it doesn't affect the way I feel about it). So, if you want a nostalgia trip, order the Sims 2 and its expansions online. And if you are more into the new, you can order the Sims 4 on Origin, as of now.
