Forget your battlefield BBQs or poisonous parting words, Season 7 of HBO's Game of Thrones will surely be remembered as "The One Where They All Meet." Continuing a season of epic reunions and first-time chinwags, the episode "The Spoils of War" finally saw Sansa and Arya Stark come back together in a tear-jerking homecoming. They may have hated each other's guts at times, but putting their sibling rivalry behind them, the Stark girls finally got their emotional reunion in the crypts of Winterfell.

It is easy to forget that the sisters have been apart since Season 1 and Arya went on the run following her father's decapitation in "Baelor." While it was weird enough for audiences to see the duo back together under their family banners, it was apparently just as strange for stars #SophieTurner and #MaisieWilliams.

Sisters are doing it for themselves.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the girls opened up about what it was like to resume filming alongside each other again and that extended hiatus at opposite ends of the Seven Kingdoms. Unsurprisingly, Turner said it took the pair a while to get used to each other again:

“Our first scene together was our reunion scene and we f—ed up so many times. We couldn’t keep a straight face! Our relationship is so close, but it’s only that fun side, never the business side. I was nervous. It just terrified me. It’s like performing for your mom. When somebody is watching you don’t do it quite as well.”

Although both the actors are close friends outside of Thrones, Williams agreed that she struggled to get back into the swing of being the Stark sisters again:

“It was the weirdest thing when we shot our first scene together. We were both embarrassed to do our thing in front of each other. It took a few hours for us to get serious and actually do it. Later it was fine on set and we could concentrate, but it was so hard to get into character with Sophie in front of me.”

It wasn't just fans that were overjoyed to see Sansa and Arya unite at Winterfell, Turner recalled the moment she found out she would work with Maisie again:

“I was like in a corner scrolling on my phone and I was so overwhelmed by [Bran and Sansa and Arya] meeting again. So I was sitting in the corner going, ‘Ahhh!’ and everybody there was fans of the show and going ‘What is it?!’ And I rang Maisie up and was like, ‘Can you believe it? It’s amazing!'”

Although all of the surviving Stark kids are together at home — unless there are any bastards lurking out there — the character reunion didn't seem quite so chirpy for Isaac Hempstead Wright's Bran Stark. Literally dead behind the eyes, a stoic Bran seems a little less cheerful to be back with his sisters. While warging into the past, present, and the future can really f*ck with your mind, only time will tell if Bran will be back to his old self or will continue to play the steely Ironside for the rest of the show's run.

Even with possible rumors of Sansa betraying the King in the North, the Starks are dutifully proving this season's motto of "the lone wolf dies but the pack survives." With Sansa the de facto Queen of Winterfell, and Arya developing those badass assassin skills, these Stark girls are two sassy siblings who mean big trouble for anyone that dares to cross their paths. As the Stark sigil flies proudly over Winterfell, those Lannisters better watch their backs!
